Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The RN Navigator
is responsible for
removing barriers to care by coordinating access, supporting patients through infusion services, and collaborating with providers and payers. This role performs clinical review of cases, evaluates payer restrictions, and
facilitates
communication across care teams to ensure
timely
and
appropriate patient
care. The RN Navigator tracks interventions and outcomes to improve care coordination and patient experience.
Essential Job Functions
·
Perform clinical review of patient cases and associated medical policies related to payer restrictions.
·
Triage payer restrictions to determine eligibility for appeal and next steps.
·
Coordinate with providers, infusion teams, and revenue cycle staff to ensure alignment of care and authorization processes.

Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to support collaborative patient care.
·
Identify
and remove barriers to patient access for infusion services.
·
Track and document interventions, outcomes, and patient care coordination activities.
·
Support appeal processes by providing clinical insight and necessary documentation.
·
Ensure compliance with payer requirements, clinical guidelines, and organizational policies.
·
Advocate for patients to ensure
timely
access to medically necessary therapies.
·
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance care coordination and access.
