We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to ensure system availability and continuously optimize performance. Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Planning and Design: Plan, design, install, and continuously evolve our Linux server landscape based on Ubuntu, utilizing OpenStack and Kubernetes. Administration and Maintenance: Administer, maintain, and operate high-availability Linux environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Storage Solutions: Support, operate, and further develop storage solutions, specifically Ceph, to meet organizational needs. Performance Management: Execute performance, capacity, and availability management for Linux servers and storage systems to ensure efficient operations. Troubleshooting: Ensure stable operations through a trouble ticket system, providing 2nd and 3rd level support for troubleshooting issues. Automation: Analyze, adapt, and create automation processes and automated system configurations using scripting and other tools. IT Security: Support IT security initiatives by hardening Linux servers, securing services, and implementing internal security policies and best practices. Proven experience in planning, designing, and managing Linux server environments, particularly with Ubuntu. Hands-on experience with OpenStack and Kubernetes. Strong knowledge of high-availability Linux environments and storage solutions, specifically Ceph. Proficiency in performance, capacity, and availability management for Linux servers and storage systems. Experience with troubleshooting and providing 2nd and 3rd level support. Expertise in automation processes and scripting for system configurations. Solid understanding of IT security practices, including hardening Linux servers and securing services. Ability to work in Linux/Unix-oriented environments with a high level of automation. Willingness to participate in on-call duty as required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Relevant certifications in Linux, OpenStack, Kubernetes, or IT security are a plus. Hybrid work model: 3 days from the office, 2 days of home office.
