This purpose drives everything we do—from how we serve our members to how we support one another as colleagues. With a strong commitment to community impact, OCCU lives its values of tenacity, humility, and big-heartedness every day. We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Regulatory Compliance Analyst to support OCCU’s Compliance Management System and help ensure regulatory requirements, risk management practices, and credit union policies are effectively applied across the organization. This is a remote opportunity for candidates residing in the U.S. To support team collaboration and business needs, candidates must be able to consistently work Pacific Time hours. While candidates located in Oregon, Washington, or Idaho are preferred, we welcome applicants from other U.S. locations who can meet the Pacific Time schedule requirement. The salary range for this role is $33.50–$42.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The Regulatory Compliance Analyst supports OCCU’s compliance program through regulatory research, monitoring, risk management, and day-to-day guidance for business units. This role helps OCCU stay informed of federal and state requirements, industry best practices, and risk issues that impact operations. Key Responsibilities: Assist compliance management in maintaining OCCU’s Compliance Management System and overall compliance program. Provide regulatory compliance support to business units across the organization, including researching laws, regulations, and unique compliance questions as they arise. Support compliance monitoring activities by reviewing procedures and processes, conducting research, preparing workpapers, recommending corrective action, and assisting with reports for senior management. Track remediation efforts related to examinations, audits, and compliance monitoring assignments. Develop, review, and revise compliance knowledge assets to ensure alignment with applicable federal and state regulations. Review marketing and advertising pieces or initiatives to help ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements. Assist with compliance training functions, including creating, preparing, conducting, reviewing, and tracking training as needed. Monitor pending or proposed regulatory changes and communicate relevant updates to management when assigned. Support regulatory audits and examinations by gathering applicable data, documents, and materials, and assisting business lines with verification of findings and remediation plans. Identify opportunities to improve compliance practices, maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, and promote a positive compliance culture. What We’re Looking For: Minimum of three years of demonstrated experience working in banking compliance within the financial services industry. Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulatory compliance related to deposit, lending, commercial, and small business areas. Ability to analyze and interpret rules, regulations, interpretive letters, and regulatory communications from federal, state, and prudential regulatory agencies, including CFPB, OCC, FDIC, NCUA, and FRB. Demonstrated experience in deposit and lending operations. Experience identifying, interpreting, and reporting critical information to leadership, individual contributors, auditors, senior managers, and supervisory committee members. Proven ability to manage multiple and overlapping projects with dependencies across teams. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across departments, build cross-functional relationships, and influence independently. Effective research, writing, and analytical skills, including the ability to work with large amounts of data. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, accurate work. Proven ability to use tools, software, and collaborative systems effectively. Strong communication, decision-making, planning, organization, quality orientation, and technical/professional knowledge skills. Bachelor’s degree required and/or demonstrated experience driving measurable business outcomes; an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting compliance programs within a credit union or similar financial institution. Experience with compliance monitoring, audit response, examination preparation, and remediation tracking. Experience reviewing marketing or advertising materials for regulatory compliance. Experience creating or supporting compliance training materials and tracking training completion. Familiarity with monitoring pending or proposed regulatory changes and communicating potential business impacts. Relevant compliance training, certifications, or demonstrated commitment to maintaining current regulatory knowledge.
