Job Type: Permanent Build a brilliant future with Hiscox About the role The Regulatory & Reporting Business Analyst – Europe will join the Europe Finance team and play a key role in supporting the regulatory and statutory reporting requirements of Hiscox S.A. (HSA). The role is focused on Luxembourg regulatory reporting and wider European reporting requirements, ensuring the accurate preparation, analysis and delivery of financial, regulatory and statutory information to internal and external stakeholders. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in regulatory reporting within a multinational insurance environment while working closely with finance, capital, risk and operational teams across Europe. Your Responsibilities Regulatory & Statutory Reporting Support the preparation and submission of Luxembourg regulatory reporting requirements. Assist in the preparation of statutory and regulatory reporting for European branches across multiple jurisdictions. Support the preparation of filings and declarations for regulatory bodies, tax authorities and other supervisory institutions. Ensure reporting requirements are delivered accurately, on time and in accordance with applicable regulations. Maintain awareness of regulatory developments and ensure reporting processes remain compliant with evolving requirements. Financial Reporting & Analysis Support the maintenance of Luxembourg accounting ledgers, including Lux GAAP and Solvency II, reconciliations and control processes. Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial information used in regulatory and statutory reporting. Analyse reporting templates, identify information requirements and determine appropriate data sources. Interpret complex financial information and communicate key insights to relevant stakeholders. Maintain consistency between internal and external reporting outputs. Controls, Governance & Continuous Improvement Support the maintenance of robust financial controls and reporting governance frameworks. Contribute to risk identification and mitigation activities related to financial and regulatory reporting. Assist in documenting reporting processes and supporting process reviews. Recommend and implement improvements to reporting processes, systems and controls. Work with stakeholders across the business to enhance reporting efficiency and data quality. Stakeholder Management Collaborate closely with Finance teams including Reporting, Controlling, Accounting and FP&A. Support interactions with regulators, auditors and external service providers. Maintain clear, transparent and professional communication with stakeholders across multiple countries and functions. Build effective working relationships within a matrix organisation. Additional Responsibilities Provide support for month-end reporting activities. Assist with internal and external audit requests. Support ad-hoc analysis, projects and reporting initiatives. Contribute actively towards achieving Finance and business objectives. Undertake additional responsibilities as required by the team. Who Are You? You are a highly motivated finance professional with strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in regulatory and statutory reporting. You thrive in fast-paced environments, work effectively under pressure and consistently deliver high-quality results while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines. Qualifications Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline. Business Management qualifications would be an advantage. Experience Strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly balance sheet and profit & loss reporting on an IFRS basis. Ability to work effectively across geographical boundaries and international teams. Experience producing reports for external stakeholders. Exposure to insurance accounting and Luxembourg GAAP would be advantageous. Previous experience in a multinational environment would be beneficial. Technical Skills Fluent English, minimum C1 level. Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets. Knowledge of Power BI would be advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and SharePoint. Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle or similar platforms.
