Relationship Manager

About This Role

Tired of SaaS companies where humans still deliver behind the curtain and you never face the client? At Alter AI, relationship managers are the person clients know, trust, and hear from — backed by alterai.os, not a black-box delivery team.

You talk to clients through the client portal — status, billing, messaging, scope. Product Managers work through the engine. You stay aligned so client context never gets lost between relationship and build.

This is a full-time role, remote-friendly, with Chennai as our home base. We are early-stage, the engine is live, and complex apps are already shipping.

What you will do

• Be the primary point of contact for clients through the alterai.os client portal
• Own onboarding, check-ins, billing conversations, and escalation paths
• Capture client needs in language the product team and engine can act on
• Stay synced with Product Managers so scope, timeline, and expectations stay honest
• Translate client feedback into clear context for delivery — not ticket routing
• Escalate when human judgement is needed — agents propose, humans approve
  
  

What we are looking for

• 2+ years in client success, account management, or B2B relationship roles
• Experience with SaaS or software services — ideally frustration with opaque delivery
• Clear, empathetic communication — you enjoy talking to clients directly
• Comfort in a fast-moving company where the product model itself is evolving
• Ability to manage multiple accounts without losing context or trust

• Experience with client portals, CRMs, or project visibility tools
• Background in software services, dev agencies, or GaaS / AI products
• Chennai or India timezone overlap for team sync
