POSITION OVERVIEW Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Relationship Manager provides operational and administrative support to Thunder Funding’s Operations team while serving as a key resource for client relationships, purchasing decisions, and risk management. This role maintains strong client partnerships, supports sound business decisions through careful analysis, and helps ensure efficient day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and comfortable exercising sound judgment in a fast-paced environment. This person combines exceptional service with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to solving problems. WHAT YOU’LL DO • Review, analyze, approve, and purchase high-risk accounts in accordance with Company policies and risk guidelines. • Manage escalated customer inquiries involving collections, verifications, new clients, and new debtors, providing timely and effective resolutions. • Perform aging analyses and evaluate client invoices to support purchasing decisions. • Review customer credit inquiries, assist with credit decisions, and evaluate exceptions while ensuring compliance with established guidelines. • Monitor and track the Operations team’s daily workflow to support timely processing and operational efficiency. • Exercise sound judgment when evaluating exceptions and making risk-based decisions. • Conduct relationship management calls and follow up with clients to strengthen partnerships and address ongoing business needs. • Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional customer service and identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience, retention, and long-term loyalty. • Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. • Collaborate with internal departments to support operational goals and provide a seamless client experience. • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with Company policies and procedures. • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Required Qualifications • Minimum of one year of experience in a Junior Relationship Manager role or a comparable client relationship, operations, or account management position. • Minimum of three years of administrative, office, or operations support experience. • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and building lasting client relationships. • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound business decisions. • Good judgment when evaluating risk, resolving issues, and managing exceptions. • Excellent organization, planning, prioritization, and time-management skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and close attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders. • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented environment. • High integrity, accountability, a strong work ethic, and a sense of urgency. • Confident, tactful, and professional interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport, influence outcomes, and manage sensitive situations. • Adaptability and resourcefulness, with the ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and technologies in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications • Associate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and relevant work experience. • Previous experience in finance, factoring, banking, or another financial services industry. • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Availability to work evenings and weekends may be required based on business needs. Regular Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM PDT PAY RANGE Base pay ranges from $26-$30 per hour. Please note that the base pay range shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies.
