Responsible for growing Retail Agribusiness book through new business acquisition, processing and assessing agribusiness credit applications from branches, put forward proposals for Agribusiness development and ensure booking of quality Agribusiness loans.

0 Business Growth Roles
Drive agribusiness portfolio growth by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across the agriculture value chain.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with clients, government institutions, development partners, industry associations, and other financial institutions to safeguard and advance the Bank’s interests.
Collaborate with branch and Head Office teams to achieve agribusiness business growth targets and portfolio expansion objectives.
Work closely with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure timely implementation and delivery of approved agribusiness transactions and value propositions.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Tanzania’s agricultural sector, emerging market trends, customer needs, and value chain financing opportunities.
Develop business cases, strategic proposals, and initiatives aimed at enhancing the agribusiness portfolio and market penetration.
Provide clients with up-to-date information and advice on agribusiness products, pricing, fees, and financing solutions.
Lead the development and execution of agribusiness growth strategies aligned with the Bank’s objectives.
Provide oversight, guidance, and support to branches in the management and recovery of stressed and non-performing agribusiness assets.
2.0 Product Development
Partner with the Product Development team to design, develop, and launch innovative agribusiness products and solutions.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive agribusiness product catalogue.
Monitor product performance through regular review of management reports and customer feedback to assess effectiveness and market relevance.
Collaborate with Product Management to periodically review product pricing and fee structures to ensure competitiveness and profitability
3.0 Risk Management
Respond to agribusiness-related queries and provide necessary information during internal and external audits.
Ensure adherence to agribusiness policies, procedures, and lending guidelines across all business engagements.
Monitor agribusiness portfolio performance and loan quality on a monthly basis, recommending corrective actions for delinquent and underperforming accounts.
Work closely with branches to ensure compliance with approved loan terms, conditions, and covenants.
Support proactive portfolio monitoring, risk identification, and mitigation to maintain a healthy agribusiness book.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in agricultural financing, agribusiness banking, or related sectors.
Strong knowledge of agribusiness value chain financing and applicable financing models.
Proven experience in business development, deal structuring, stakeholder management, and negotiation of strategic business partnerships.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex agribusiness opportunities and structure sustainable financing solutions.

Review & analyze periodically Retail Agribusiness book performance and communicate remedial/improvement strategies.
Review, appraise agribusiness applications and recommend for approval or rejection.
Report preparation on the quantity & quality and performance of the agribusiness portfolio
