Reload and Core Management Engineer

Job Description Summary The Lead Nuclear Fuel Engineer will make immediate contributions to BWR fuel reload licensing and cycle management in GNF-A Fuels Engineering while being technically mentored by a team of high-performing engineers. In this role, you will provide innovative licensing and design solutions that ensure high-quality deliverables in accordance with customer requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines. Additionally, this position offers direct utility customer-facing opportunities through deliverables, collaboration, and training. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Apply analytical methods, procedures, and techniques to solve complex problems Execute analysis and design calculations to support operating reactor cores in reload licensing and cycle management Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers Document and communicate results of technical data generated Implement continual improvement of work processes, including procedure and script update Maintain and/or exceed baseline project schedule and cost in the delivery of nuclear fuel reload engineering deliverables Share information and promote open dialogue, including working effectively in a matrixed team environment Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with NRC rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards Partner with Commercial Account Managers (CAMs), interface with customer technical personnel, and manage reload projects across the Fuels organization Engage in continuous professional development and mentoring Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering, physics, or another science field from an accredited university Minimum of 4 years of relevant nuclear experience Desired Characteristics Master of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering Experience with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) technology Knowledge of plant operational support Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements Experience with BWR core simulator and use of 3-Dimensional neutron kinetics codes Programming experience with Python or C# Detail oriented and accountable for results. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Excellent oral & written communication skills This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
