Responsibilities Include: Advising clients on family law matters with empathy and professionalism Developing legal strategies tailored to each client’s goals Representing clients in mediations, negotiations, hearings, and court proceedings Drafting motions, pleadings, and legal correspondence Empowering clients through education and clear communication Collaborating with attorneys and staff to improve processes and client experience Maintaining high-quality, cost-effective legal services What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications Active membership in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association 1–5+ years of legal experience Strong legal writing and communication skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Reliable internet and phone access Commitment to professionalism, collaboration, and client advocacy Preferred Experience Family law experience in Washington State Experience with: Motions practice Mediation Collaborative law Trial preparation or litigation Familiarity with court procedures in King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties Experience with Clio, Microsoft 365, Dropbox, Adobe, Slack, and Apple-based systems The Right Fit for This Role You may thrive here if you are: Emotionally intelligent and client-focused Comfortable receiving coaching and feedback Motivated by meaningful, impactful legal work Interested in professional growth and leadership opportunities Passionate about collaboration, inclusion, and community engagement Curious, driven, and eager to contribute beyond the basics A Culture Built on Respect & Inclusion Elise Buie Family Law Group is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
