About the role We are looking for a Merchant Implementation Manager to join our Payments team and take ownership of merchant onboarding and payment integrations. You will be the main point of contact for merchants throughout the implementation process - from initial setup and access preparation to integration testing and successful production launch. This role combines merchant communication, technical coordination and hands-on work with payment configurations. You will work closely with Product, Development and QA teams to make sure merchants can integrate with our platform smoothly and efficiently. What you will do: Manage merchant onboarding from initial setup to successful production launch; Set up merchant accounts and required payment configurations in internal systems; Prepare and provide merchants with credentials, access details and integration information; Guide merchants through API integration and help them understand integration requirements and payment flows; Act as the main point of contact for merchants during the implementation and testing stages; Coordinate and support merchant testing across available environments; Help merchants execute test scenarios and validate successful payment flows; Perform initial investigation of integration issues and collect all required technical information; Coordinate issue resolution with Product, QA and Development teams when deeper technical investigation is required; Track integration progress, blockers, open questions and next steps for each merchant; Coordinate merchant readiness for go-live and ensure required configuration and testing are completed before production launch; Support merchants during their first production transactions and help resolve launch-related issues; Maintain and improve merchant onboarding and integration documentation; Identify recurring integration issues and suggest improvements to internal processes, documentation and product flows. Requirements: 2+ years of experience in merchant implementation, technical account management, integration support, payment operations or a similar role; Experience working in Payments, FinTech, PSP, payment processing. Good understanding of online payment flows and payment lifecycle; Basic understanding of API integrations, HTTP requests, webhooks/callbacks and authentication; Experience working with API documentation and tools such as Postman; Ability to investigate technical issues, collect relevant information and communicate it clearly to technical teams; Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with external partners; Ability to manage several merchant integrations simultaneously and keep their statuses, blockers and next steps under control; Strong attention to detail, especially when working with payment configurations and production environments; Ability to take ownership and drive an integration through to completion; Good spoken and written English. Nice to have: Experience with card payments, alternative payment methods, bank transfers or crypto payments; Understanding of 3DS payment flows; Experience with merchant wallets, payment routing, terminals or provider configurations; Experience working with transaction logs and payment decline reasons; Previous experience with merchant go-live processes.
