Paralegal / Legal Analyst (AI-Driven Legal Support) This role offers an experienced legal professional the opportunity to apply deep expertise in legal research, contract analysis, compliance, and litigation support to help develop and improve next-generation AI technology. You will review, analyze, and interpret complex legal materials, provide high-quality written feedback, and support AI-driven workflows that enhance how legal professionals work. This is a fully remote, project-based consulting engagement with flexible scheduling and a weekly commitment of approximately 30 hours. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive legal research and apply established legal research methodologies to a wide range of subject areas. Review, analyze, and interpret contracts, legal documents, and regulatory materials with a high level of accuracy. Perform detailed document review, including large volumes of legal documentation, to identify inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and potential legal risks. Support litigation-related workflows, including litigation support, discovery and eDiscovery tasks, and review of litigation documentation. Draft, refine, and edit legal content, including summaries, analyses, and written explanations of legal issues and findings. Interpret case law and statutes, and clearly explain legal concepts, reasoning, and outcomes in writing. Provide structured written feedback on complex legal content to support AI training, data annotation, and quality assurance processes. Evaluate complex legal materials and apply strong judgment and critical thinking to assess relevance, risk, and consistency. Collaborate with attorneys, corporate legal departments, compliance teams, and legal operations functions in a support capacity. Leverage legal research platforms and document management systems to organize, track, and manage legal materials efficiently. Adapt to AI-driven workflows and emerging technologies, incorporating new tools and processes into daily work. Work independently in a remote, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail. Incorporate feedback into work products, revise analyses and documentation as needed, and continuously refine written outputs. Contribute legal expertise to help shape how AI supports legal research, contract management, compliance, and litigation support in the future. Essential Skills: 5+ years of paralegal, legal analyst, contract management, legal operations, litigation support, compliance, or related legal experience. Bachelor's degree required. Experience supporting legal research, document review, contracts, litigation, compliance, or regulatory matters. Extensive legal drafting and document review experience. Strong legal research skills, including case law analysis and statutory interpretation. Proven ability to interpret legal concepts and explain findings clearly in writing. Experience supporting attorneys, corporate legal departments, compliance teams, or legal operations functions. Demonstrated contract review and interpretation experience. Familiarity with litigation processes and legal documentation standards. Advanced legal writing, proofreading, and analytical abilities. Highly detailed written communication skills and strong editing capabilities. Proficiency with legal research platforms and document management systems. Ability to evaluate complex content and provide structured written feedback. Experience working independently in a remote environment and meeting deadlines. Strong judgment, critical thinking, and attention to detail. Availability to commit approximately 30 hours per week for the full engagement. Additional Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of progressive legal experience, ideally in roles such as paralegal, legal analyst, contracts specialist, litigation paralegal, or legal operations professional. Experience working within law firms, corporate legal departments, compliance teams, or government agencies. Experience reviewing large volumes of legal documentation with high accuracy and consistency. Experience in corporate governance, risk management, regulatory analysis, or regulatory compliance. Experience with due diligence, contract management, discovery support, and legal documentation quality assurance. Comfort working with AI tools, AI training workflows, data annotation, and large language models (LLMs). Tech-savvy mindset and ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly. Comfortable receiving feedback and revising work products based on review and quality standards. Experience supporting compliance or risk management functions in addition to traditional legal support. Familiarity with eDiscovery tools and processes. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a flexible, project-based consulting environment. Work Environment: This position operates in a fully remote work environment, allowing you to perform all responsibilities from your chosen location. The engagement is project-based, offering a consulting structure with a preferred commitment of 30 hours per week. The schedule is flexible, enabling you to align your working hours with project needs while maintaining work–life balance. You will use legal research platforms, document management systems, and AI-driven tools as part of your daily workflow, collaborating virtually with legal and compliance professionals. The environment is deadline-driven and quality-focused, emphasizing independent work, clear communication, and adaptability to evolving technologies and processes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Virginia Beach, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $125.00 - $125.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
