Working Hours: 40 hours/week, 8 hours/day, U.S. Pacific Time

Location: Remote – Latin America (LATAM)

About The Company

Our client is a small, specialized construction company based in California focused on restaurant construction projects. They are looking for an experienced Remote Project Manager who can become an extension of their on-site operations team and take ownership of project coordination, scheduling, communication, and day-to-day project management.

About The Role

We are seeking a Remote Project Manager – Restaurant Construction to manage and coordinate restaurant construction projects from a remote environment.

This role will serve as the operational backbone of the company, handling many of the responsibilities typically managed by an on-site project manager. The ideal candidate is highly organized, confident in communicating with clients and subcontractors, comfortable working with construction plans and schedules, and able to integrate quickly into the U.S.-based construction team.

Key Responsibilities

Restaurant or hospitality construction experience is strongly preferred.

  • Coordinate project activities, schedules, deadlines, and deliverables using Microsoft Project and other scheduling tools.
  • Manage day-to-day project operations and internal staff coordination.
  • Review, understand, and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and project plans.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members through phone, email, Microsoft Teams, and video meetings.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to keep projects moving according to schedule.
  • Manage calendars, meetings, project updates, and follow-ups.
  • Track project progress, priorities, and outstanding action items.
  • Work within the client's existing systems, workflows, and software tools, including Microsoft Teams, email, and construction/estimation software.
  • Help identify scheduling issues, coordination gaps, and project risks before they affect project timelines.
  • Maintain clear and organized project documentation and communication.
  • Learn and apply relevant U.S. local construction codes and restaurant-specific construction requirements.
  • Represent the company professionally in communications with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Perform the responsibilities expected of an on-site project manager while working remotely.

Requirements

  • 4–5+ years of construction project management experience; 4–10+ years preferred.
  • Restaurant, hospitality, commercial, or similar construction experience required; restaurant construction experience is a strong advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of construction project coordination and scheduling.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and construction management software.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and project plans.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and multiple project stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating closely with a U.S.-based team.
  • Willingness and ability to learn U.S. local construction codes and restaurant-specific construction requirements.
  • Professional demeanor and confidence representing the company with clients and subcontractors.
  • Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, during U.S. Pacific Time business hours.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced construction project manager who can operate independently while remaining highly collaborative with the client’s team. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, coordinating different stakeholders, and keeping projects organized without constant supervision.

Candidates with direct restaurant or hospitality construction experience will stand out, particularly those who have managed multiple projects and regularly coordinated with subcontractors, vendors, and clients.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Construction industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree minimum.
  • Ability to work U.S. Pacific Time business hours.
  • Full-time availability of 40 hours per week.
  • Ability to manage construction projects and coordinate subcontractors/vendors.
  • Willingness to learn U.S. local construction codes and restaurant-specific requirements.

Why Join?

  • Fully remote position with a California-based construction company.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of restaurant construction projects.
  • Work directly with a collaborative U.S.-based team.
  • Long-term opportunity for the right candidate.
  • Competitive compensation based on experience.
  • Opportunity to become an integral part of the company's project operations.
