We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for senior public interest law professionals with deep expertise in civil rights, environmental law, public advocacy, impact litigation, and regulatory or policy reform. This role supports advanced AI evaluation work focused on realistic public interest legal scenarios. Selected experts will design complex legal tasks, develop reference outputs, and create evaluation rubrics that reflect how experienced public interest attorneys approach litigation, regulatory advocacy, constitutional analysis, and community-focused legal work. Key Responsibilities Civil Rights & Constitutional Law Develop realistic scenarios involving civil rights litigation and constitutional law Create tasks requiring analysis of federal civil rights statutes, constitutional protections, and related legal frameworks Evaluate legal arguments, litigation strategies, and proposed remedies for accuracy and practical soundness Produce reference legal briefs, memoranda, and structured legal analyses Identify unsupported arguments, procedural weaknesses, and gaps in legal reasoning Environmental Law & Regulation Design scenarios involving environmental compliance, enforcement, and regulatory advocacy Apply frameworks such as NEPA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and related environmental statutes where relevant Develop tasks involving regulatory comments, permitting issues, enforcement actions, and environmental review Evaluate environmental legal reasoning for statutory, regulatory, and procedural accuracy Apply international environmental frameworks and EU directives where appropriate Public Advocacy & Impact Litigation Develop scenarios involving impact litigation, strategic advocacy, and policy reform Assess litigation strategies based on legal, procedural, and broader public-interest considerations Create reference advocacy memoranda, legal strategies, and policy recommendations Evaluate how legal action may interact with regulatory, legislative, and community-based approaches Identify practical considerations affecting public-interest legal strategies Housing, Immigration & Government Accountability Create tasks involving housing law, consumer protection, immigration, asylum, and government accountability Apply relevant legal principles to realistic public-interest cases Evaluate administrative, regulatory, and litigation approaches across different legal contexts Develop reference analyses grounded in professional legal judgement Assess AI-generated recommendations for accuracy, completeness, and procedural soundness Legal Research & Regulatory Processes Develop scenarios involving legal research platforms, case-management workflows, and regulatory filing systems Apply constitutional analysis, statutory interpretation, regulatory compliance review, and litigation methodology Produce reference legal briefs, regulatory comments, and advocacy materials Evaluate the use of legal authority, precedent, and regulatory guidance Ensure conclusions are supported by appropriate legal reasoning and relevant governing frameworks AI Evaluation & Rubric Development Design expert-level evaluation tasks across public interest law and advocacy workflows Draft reference outputs demonstrating senior-level legal judgement Develop rubrics that distinguish authentic professional reasoning from generic academic or examination-level responses Review AI-generated outputs for legal accuracy, procedural awareness, and practical relevance Identify subtle reasoning errors, missing legal considerations, and unrealistic recommendations Provide clear written rationale supporting evaluation decisions Ideal Profile 5+ years of professional experience in public interest law, civil rights, environmental law, government litigation, advocacy, or a closely related field Senior-level experience as a Public Interest Attorney, Civil Rights Attorney, Environmental Attorney, Government Attorney, or comparable legal professional Experience within a legal aid organisation, advocacy nonprofit, government agency, public-interest practice, or comparable environment Direct ownership of impact litigation, regulatory advocacy, environmental matters, civil-rights cases, or policy reform initiatives Strong understanding of litigation strategy, constitutional analysis, regulatory processes, and legislative or policy advocacy Expertise in one or more areas such as civil rights, constitutional law, environmental law, housing, consumer protection, immigration, asylum, or government accountability Familiarity with US public-interest legal frameworks, international human-rights law, EU environmental frameworks, or a combination of these Strong written communication and ability to explain complex legal reasoning clearly and precisely JD with bar admission or an equivalent recognised international legal qualification is strongly preferred Experience developing legal training materials, policy documents, evaluation rubrics, or professional review frameworks is advantageous Engagement Details Part-time independent contractor engagement Fully remote Flexible scheduling based on project requirements Compensation: $80–$90/hour Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project needs and performance Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, organisation, or other third party H1-B and STEM OPT support is unavailable for this engagement About the Platform This opportunity is available through 24-MAG LLC.
