We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for senior fraud detection and financial crimes professionals with deep expertise in transaction monitoring, fraud investigations, AML, identity fraud, and enterprise risk operations. This role supports advanced AI evaluation work focused on realistic fraud and financial-crime scenarios. Selected experts will design complex enterprise fraud tasks, develop reference outputs, and create evaluation rubrics that reflect how experienced fraud professionals investigate suspicious activity, assess risk, and operate within large-scale financial institutions. Key Responsibilities Fraud Detection & Transaction Monitoring Develop realistic scenarios involving high-volume transaction monitoring and fraud detection Create tasks covering payment fraud, suspicious transaction patterns, and behavioural anomalies Apply rules-based and machine-learning-driven detection methodologies Evaluate fraud alerts for risk, severity, and appropriate escalation Identify weaknesses in detection logic, monitoring strategies, and fraud controls Fraud Investigations Design scenarios involving complex fraud investigations and multi-stage case workflows Develop tasks covering account takeover, identity theft, synthetic identity fraud, and merchant fraud Apply investigative methodologies to transaction histories, behavioural indicators, and linked entities Produce reference investigation reports and structured case analyses Evaluate AI-generated conclusions for evidentiary support, completeness, and practical relevance AML & Financial Crimes Create tasks involving anti-money laundering, KYC, transaction monitoring, and financial-crime compliance Apply relevant BSA/AML frameworks and regulatory reporting principles Develop scenarios involving suspicious activity reports, currency transaction reports, and case escalation Evaluate financial-crime risks and investigative recommendations Assess whether proposed responses appropriately reflect regulatory and operational requirements Fraud Analytics & Risk Modelling Develop scenarios involving fraud-risk models, network analysis, and link analysis Assess patterns across accounts, transactions, devices, merchants, and customer behaviour Evaluate model outputs and fraud indicators for precision, relevance, and operational usefulness Create reference risk assessments and executive-level fraud narratives Identify false-positive risks, missed indicators, and weaknesses in analytical reasoning Enterprise Fraud Tools & Operations Develop tasks involving enterprise fraud platforms such as SAS Fraud Management, Actimize, Feedzai, or comparable systems Apply familiarity with case-management and transaction-monitoring platforms used by large financial institutions Create realistic workflows involving investigation queues, escalation procedures, and regulatory reporting Evaluate operational decisions across fraud-prevention and financial-crime teams Structure complex fraud information into clear, reviewable outputs AI Evaluation & Rubric Development Design expert-level evaluation tasks across fraud detection and financial-crime workflows Draft reference outputs demonstrating authentic senior-level fraud investigation judgement Develop rubrics that distinguish professional fraud reasoning from generic textbook or certification-level responses Review AI-generated outputs for analytical accuracy, regulatory awareness, and operational realism Identify subtle reasoning errors, incomplete investigations, and unsupported conclusions Provide clear written rationale supporting evaluation decisions Ideal Profile 5+ years of professional experience in fraud detection, financial-crime investigations, AML compliance, transaction monitoring, or a closely related field Senior-level experience within a major bank, payments company, financial institution, or large enterprise fraud operation Direct ownership of fraud detection programmes, investigation caseloads, transaction-monitoring systems, or financial-crime workflows Strong expertise in payment fraud, account takeover, identity theft, synthetic identity fraud, AML, or merchant and card-network fraud Familiarity with enterprise fraud tools such as SAS Fraud Management, Actimize, Feedzai, or comparable platforms Strong understanding of KYC, BSA/AML, regulatory reporting, case escalation, and law-enforcement coordination Experience with rules-based and machine-learning-driven fraud detection approaches Ability to communicate complex fraud and financial-crime reasoning clearly and precisely in writing Experience developing investigation documentation, fraud training materials, evaluation rubrics, or operational guidance is advantageous Engagement Details Part-time independent contractor engagement Fully remote Flexible scheduling based on project requirements Compensation: $50–$60/hour Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project needs and performance Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party H1-B and STEM OPT support is unavailable for this engagement About the Platform This opportunity is available through 24-MAG LLC.
