Remote Senior Fullstack Engineer

About the Project

We are building an AI-powered Digital Fiduciary platform for Swiss SMEs, combining conversational AI with accounting and business workflows.

The core architecture, security model, database, and UI foundation are already in place. This role focuses on building the domain services and AI agent layer that turn the existing foundation into real product capabilities.

You’ll work directly with the founders in a fast-moving environment where requirements are shaped through discussion and iteration rather than fully specified tickets.

What You'll Do

• Build domain services for accounting, VAT, documents, tasks, clients, users, and permissions.
• Develop AI tools using structured tool calling, with business logic kept in reusable backend services.
• Connect AI conversations with pre-built workspace views and ensure data stays consistent between chat and UI interactions.
• Implement approval workflows and audit trails for sensitive AI-proposed actions.
• Design and maintain multi-tenant data access using PostgreSQL/Supabase and Row Level Security.
• Evolve database schemas and authorization as new product capabilities are introduced.
• Consume outputs from existing n8n workflows and determine what belongs in application code versus workflow automation.
• Maintain prompts, tools, and agent structure as the product grows, while keeping AI behaviour controlled and reliable.
• Apply strong engineering practices around Git, pull requests, code reviews, testing, and documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong TypeScript and production-grade backend development.
• Solid experience with Node.js and familiarity with Next.js/React and server/client boundaries.
• Strong PostgreSQL experience, ideally in multi-tenant applications and database-level access control.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications, including tool calling, structured outputs, or AI agents.
• Experience designing reusable business/domain logic shared across multiple interfaces or services.
• Good understanding of authorization, data isolation, human-in-the-loop workflows, and auditability.
• Ability to work with evolving requirements and take ownership from problem definition through implementation.
• Excellent spoken and written English and strong communication skills when working directly with founders and domain experts
• Strong Git, PR, code review, and SDLC practices.

Nice to have: Experience with Supabase/RLS, Cursor or Claude Code, n8n or other workflow platforms, prompt design and AI evaluation, MCP, Python, or accounting/fintech workflows.
