Remote | Visual Design & AI Evaluation Expert — $70–$170/hour

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced design professionals with strong visual judgement, professional presentation skills, and hands-on experience creating polished graphics, documents, and digital design assets. This role supports an AI research project focused on product design and visual preference evaluation. Selected professionals will apply their design experience and aesthetic judgement to assess visual outputs, compare design approaches, and help advanced AI systems better understand professional-quality design and presentation. Key Responsibilities Visual Design Evaluation Review visual materials for quality, clarity, consistency, and overall presentation Apply professional design judgement when comparing alternative outputs Evaluate composition, hierarchy, typography, spacing, colour, and visual balance Identify design choices that strengthen or weaken the effectiveness of an output Provide clear rationale for visual and design preference decisions Product & Design Judgement Assess product-design concepts and visual experiences against defined criteria Evaluate usability, polish, coherence, and professional presentation Compare different approaches and determine which better meets the intended purpose Apply practical design experience rather than relying solely on formal design rules Identify subtle differences in visual quality and execution Professional Content Design Review professionally designed graphics, documents, presentations, and related files Evaluate whether materials communicate information clearly and effectively Assess consistency across layouts, components, and content structures Apply professional standards to document and presentation design Identify opportunities to improve readability, hierarchy, and visual communication Design Tools & Production Workflows Apply experience with tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite Work comfortably with common professional design and productivity formats Review and evaluate content created in Slides, Sheets, Docs, and PDFs Interpret design decisions within the context of real professional workflows Apply practical knowledge of how polished visual materials are produced AI Research & Preference Evaluation Participate in structured evaluation tasks supporting advanced AI research Compare AI-generated visual or design outputs against professional expectations Provide consistent preference judgements across assigned tasks Explain design strengths, weaknesses, and trade-offs in clear written language Contribute expert feedback that helps improve AI understanding of visual quality and design taste Ideal Profile Professional experience in visual design, graphic design, product design, UX/UI design, presentation design, or a closely related field Experience in roles requiring strong visual judgement and professional presentation standards Demonstrated experience designing graphics, documents, presentations, interfaces, or comparable professional materials Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite , or similar professional design tools Comfortable working with Slides, Sheets, Docs, and PDF files Strong understanding of typography, layout, hierarchy, colour, spacing, and visual communication Native or near-native proficiency in English Strong written communication and ability to explain design decisions clearly Based in the United States, United Kingdom, or Canada Able to work independently within structured research and evaluation workflows Engagement Details Part-time independent contractor engagement Fully remote Minimum commitment of 15 hours per week Flexible scheduling based on project requirements Compensation: $70–$170/hour Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project needs and performance Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party H1-B and STEM OPT support is unavailable for this engagement About the Platform This opportunity is available through 24-MAG LLC.
