JHC Consulting is an independent advisory practice that serves board committees and chief executives. We are currently supporting a major European regulatory body on a significant reporting project. As a Reporting Analyst Assistant, you will help our principals process large volumes of information and convert them into the clear, written arguments our firm is known for. This is a permanent, full-time position conducted entirely in a remote capacity.
The Role
In this position, you will spend a significant portion of your day reading internal documents and technical reports. Your primary task is to identify key facts and data points that support or challenge a specific strategic position. Unlike traditional consulting roles that rely on visual presentations, you will focus on drafting concise notes and sections for final memoranda. You will verify data accuracy, ensure that logical conclusions are supported by the evidence, and help maintain the firm's standard of rigorous documentation. This work requires a high level of concentration and the ability to synthesize complex information into a readable format.
What You Bring
We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in logical reasoning and an ability to write clearly. This is an entry level role, so we do not expect a long history of professional experience. A background in economics, political science, finance, or a related field where research and writing are central is helpful. You should be comfortable working with datasets and translating figures into plain English. You must be able to work independently, manage your own schedule, and pay close attention to the details of a written argument. A willingness to learn our specific methods of analysis and documentation is essential.
How We Work
At JHC Consulting, we believe that writing is the most effective form of thinking. We do not use slide decks or decorative charts to hide gaps in logic. Every piece of work results in a signed memorandum. We value the discipline required to sit with a difficult text and understand it fully before offering an opinion. We provide a dissenting view when necessary, ensuring that our clients have a record of scrutiny they can rely on for years to come. Our firm is small by design, which ensures that every project receives the necessary attention and revision.
Working at JHC Consulting
Our firm operates as a fully remote practice. This structure allows our analysts to focus on their work without the distractions of a typical office environment. The position offers a competitive salary that is attractive for this level of the market. We prioritize individual autonomy and expect each member of the firm to maintain high standards of professional discipline. You will have the opportunity to learn from principals with deep experience in corporate finance, institutional asset management, and strategic advisory while working on high level mandates.
The work we do carries a high degree of individual accountability. Because every page of our counsel is authored and signed by the person who performed the analysis, there is no room for ambiguity. We take our mandates seriously and expect the same level of commitment from our junior staff. Our goal is to provide a written record that stands the test of time, reflecting the intellectual rigor we bring to every engagement for the regulatory bodies and corporations we serve.
