Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $44,200 - Midpoint: $55,300 (Salaried E6) Department/Organization: 204693 - VITAL Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Note to Applicants: Position is eligible for remote work subject to University policy . Job Summary: The Research Project Coordinator supports the overall development of research project(s). Assists with project design, management, and implementation. Promotes the project and serves as liaison between the project and contacts internal and external to the University. May supervise students, provide general office assistance, create promotional materials, and assist in the development of other potential projects. Additional Department Summary: The Autism Collaborative Project will work in partnership with the Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH) to assess and improve autism services throughout the state. Focus groups, listening sessions, and a gaps analysis will take place to assess existing services and gaps in resources. The results of data gathered will be used to develop a formal training plan and learning collaborative with autism providers and families. The learning collaborative will involve several cohorts and intensive training opportunities at various regions throughout the state, and will involve both live in-person or virtual sessions, and asynchronous sessions of pre-recorded webinars and online learning modules. The Project will also include engagement with various conferences and training opportunities related to autism resources, services, and training strategies. The Research Project Coordinator will help to coordinate and complete all project related activities. Will have the responsibility of coordinating a variety of activities, materials, and information to support the development and implementation efforts of the Autism Collaborative project. Will serve as the liaison between the Autism Collaborative and community partners in the coordination of training and outreach. Coordinate administrative and training services through the Autism Project, including the development, implementation, and assessment of the learning collaborative. Serves as an Autism Collaborative Project Liaison with program constituent groups and conducts presentations with appropriate audiences. This position involves a high degree of complexity and creative thinking skills and a foundation of autism service provision and behavioral health knowledge. Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher and some experience coordinating projects. Skills and Knowledge: Strong organizational skills as evidenced by work history. Able to work independently using sound judgment and solid decision-making skills to solve problems and to work through barriers that may impact progress. Program evaluation or applied research expertise. Experience with basic office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in a behavioral health-related field, including applied behavioral sciences, psychology, or social work and two (2) years of experience working directly with autism. Experience providing ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) services or certification as a BCBA strongly preferred.
