The Role
TravelWorld is seeking a highly organized Reservations Specialist based in Italy to support our U.S.-based travel team.
This is a remote independent contractor position ideal for someone with strong English communication skills and experience in travel reservations, hospitality, tourism, or a similar customer-focused environment.
The Reservations Specialist will primarily support our team with processing and maintaining travel bookings, traveler information, travel insurance, and reservation documentation.
Key Responsibilities
• Process new travel reservations accurately and efficiently
• Enter and maintain traveler information in reservation and internal systems
• Review bookings for accuracy and completeness
• Process travel insurance and related documentation
• Make reservation changes and updates as requested
• Confirm booking details, payments, and traveler information
• Communicate with travel suppliers when necessary
• Maintain organized and detailed reservation records
• Monitor deadlines and follow established booking procedures
• Assist the U.S.-based Reservations, Sales, and Operations teams
• Communicate professionally with team members, suppliers, and travelers by email and phone
• Identify missing or incorrect information and proactively resolve issues
Qualifications
• Previous experience in travel reservations, tourism, hospitality, customer service, or administrative support
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple reservations simultaneously
• Comfortable learning and working across multiple software platforms
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
• Ability to follow established procedures and workflows
• Reliable internet connection and professional remote-work environment
• Dependable, responsive, and able to work independently
• Experience with travel reservation, CRM, GDS, or booking systems is a plus
Schedule
Candidates must be available to work a schedule that overlaps with U.S. Eastern Time business hours, specifically 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM ET, Monday through Friday.

• Hourly rate: $12–$18 USD per hour, depending on experience
