Salary Range: $39.00 To $43.00 Hourly Respiratory Therapist II (0.6 FTE)– Home-Based Pulmonary Rehabilitation Your Role... As a Respiratory Therapist II (0.6 FTE) in our Home-Based Pulmonary Rehabilitation program, you will deliver high-quality virtual pulmonary rehabilitation services to patients with chronic respiratory conditions, including COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, and other lung diseases. You will independently assess patients, develop and deliver individualized rehabilitation interventions, monitor progress, provide education and coaching, and coordinate care with providers and other members of the care team. This role combines respiratory therapy expertise with virtual care delivery, remote patient monitoring, patient engagement, and care coordination. Working within Morlen Health’s fully distributed care model, you will independently manage an assigned panel of patients while maintaining timely documentation, responsive communication, and strong collaboration across the care team. This is a remote position and must be located in the Pacific Time Zone to support our clients’ needs. In This Role, You Will... Conduct comprehensive virtual intake assessments, including patient interviews, clinical history review, standardized outcome measures, respiratory assessments, and functional evaluations. Develop individualized pulmonary rehabilitation care plans in collaboration with providers and other members of the care team. Deliver virtual pulmonary rehabilitation sessions that incorporate individualized exercise, education, coaching, breathing techniques, symptom management, and chronic disease self-management support. Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, track clinical and functional outcomes, and modify interventions within established protocols and scope of practice. Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory disease management, exercise, respiratory equipment, remote monitoring devices, and digital health tools. Accurately and timely document assessments, treatments, education, patient progress, and other clinical interactions in the electronic medical record. Identify changes in clinical status or patient safety concerns, appropriately triage issues, and communicate or escalate findings to providers and clinical leadership as needed. Coordinate with referring providers, internal clinical teams, and other stakeholders to support continuity of care and execution of the patient’s rehabilitation plan. Independently manage an assigned panel of patients, including follow-up activities, documentation, patient communication, and competing clinical priorities within a virtual care environment. Participate as an active member of a distributed care team, contributing to continuous improvement of clinical workflows, quality, patient experience, and overall HBPR program operations. What You Need to Be Successful... Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with an Associate’s degree or higher. Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care. Current, active, and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in at least one U.S. state, with the ability to obtain additional licenses as needed. Experience providing respiratory therapy care with the ability to independently assess patients, manage routine clinical needs, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately. Strong adaptability and change management skills Strong communication, organization, documentation, and patient-engagement skills, with comfort using electronic medical records and virtual care technology. Preferred 2+ years of respiratory therapy experience, particularly in pulmonary rehabilitation or chronic respiratory disease management. Experience delivering care through telehealth, remote patient monitoring, or other virtual care models. Experience leading patient education, exercise, or rehabilitation sessions. Your Compensation... The hourly pay range for this position is $39.00–$43.00 , working an average of 20–25 hours per week . Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as an applicant’s skills and qualifications, education and certifications, training, relevant clinical experience, market data, geographic location, internal equity, and other job-related factors.
