This September, we’re launching our first ResQ Market pick-up location in Ruoholahti—a completely new business area for ResQ. We’re looking for an ambitious ResQ Market Lead to help build and run it from day one. This isn’t a traditional store manager role but requires hands-on work. One day you’ll be running the market, that is for example offloading deliveries, filling shelves and fridges, checking temperatures, keeping the store clean and safe, managing inventory, and making sure our in-house control is done properly and creating an outstanding customer experience. The next, you’ll be negotiating with suppliers, meeting HoReCa buyers, analysing sales data, or working with our leadership team to develop how ResQ Market should grow. You’ll work directly with senior leadership to develop how the concept operates, grows and scales. What you’ll do You’ll take full ownership of the day-to-day business of ResQ Market while helping shape its future. Your responsibilities will include: Running the hands-on daily operations of the ResQ Market and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Receiving, merchandising and managing surplus food and other products. Building and maintaining relationships with food producers, wholesalers and other supply partners. Developing commercial relationships with HoReCa customers and other B2B buyers. Analysing sales, inventory and customer behaviour to improve commercial performance. Testing new operating models, pricing approaches and services. Identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience and operational efficiency. Working closely with the leadership team to define how ResQ Market evolves into a scalable business. As ResQ Market grows, you’ll have the opportunity to grow with it—from operating the business to helping lead and scale it. Who we’re looking for This role is ideal for an ambitious early-career professional who wants to learn faster than they would in a traditional graduate programme. You likely have: A university degree (or are close to graduating) in business, economics, industrial engineering, entrepreneurship or a related field. Around 1–5 years of relevant experience through work, internships, student organisations or entrepreneurial projects. Strong analytical and commercial thinking. Excellent communication skills and confidence working with customers and partners. An entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a fast-changing environment. A willingness to roll up your sleeves—whether that’s serving customers, organising deliveries or negotiating commercial agreements. Fluency in Finnish and English. Experience in retail, food, marketplaces, startups or B2B sales is an advantage, but not a requirement. Curiosity, ownership and the ability to learn quickly matter more.
