Learn more at Sitecore.com About the Role: Sitecore is seeking an experienced Revenue Accountant. The Revenue Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring accurate revenue recognition and compliance with IFRS 15 standards for SaaS-based subscription models and complex multi-element arrangements. This role supports the month-end close process, analyzes customer contracts, and collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and FP&A to ensure revenue is recorded accurately and timely. What You’ll Do: Revenue Recognition: Analyze and interpret customer contracts to ensure appropriate set up in NetSuite ARM for proper revenue recognition treatment in accordance with IFRS 15 and company revenue recognition policy. Month-End Close: Prepare and post journal entries for revenue as needed, deferred revenue, and related accounts. Reconcile revenue-related balance sheet accounts deferred revenue and unbilled accounts receivable and support monthly close timelines. Contract Review & Documentation: Partner with Sales and Legal to review new and amended contracts. Maintain documentation to support revenue conclusions and audit requirements. Process Improvement: Participate in continuous review of processes and help identify improvements to streamline revenue accounting operations, including automation of manual tasks and enhancement of internal controls. Audit & Compliance: Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit inquiries. Ensure compliance with internal controls and processes. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with FP&A, Sales Operations, and Billing teams to ensure alignment on billing and revenue accuracy. What You Need to Succeed: Fully qualified accountant, with 3+ years of working experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology company. Proven ability to run programs and projects, lead initiatives, and drive technological advancements. Strong understanding of IFRS 15 and revenue recognition principles. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite ARM, Salesforce CPQ) is a plus Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
