Revenue Accounting Manager

Job Title: Accounting Manager Location: New York City, NY Position Type: Contracted – 04 Months Job Type: 100% Remote Pay Range: $55/-hr to $60/-hr on W2. Job ID: #173800 Note: There will be Heavy Over-time in starting days. Position Overview: We are seeking a manager-level contractor who is also comfortable performing senior accountant-level work when necessary, including preparation of accounting work papers. Job Description: Responsible for managing the general accounting function. Oversees the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements. Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization. Designation of CPA may be required. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management. Day-to-day responsibilities: Revenue accounting for several business units. Supporting business partners with any questions/and projects with a new offering or testing within the systems, sell and have it go through for accounting results. Required Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of Pivot Tables for data analysis and reporting. Experience with Revenue Accounting, including revenue recognition and related accounting processes. Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards is a plus. Experience using Workday and Zuora for accounting and financial operations. Public accounting experience is welcomed but not required. Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
