JOB SUM M ARY The primary purpose of this position is to develop and train world-class best practices in pre-billing, billing, collections, and accounts receivable functions in the home health and hospice industry. DUTIES & RESP O NSIBI L ITI E S Support the accounts receivable functions under the supervision of the Learning and Development Leader. Train, monitor, and update the policies and procedures surrounding the revenue cycle, accounts receivable, and current government regulations for home health and hospice. Assist agencies in the development and use of accounting policies and procedures, and establish a great rapport in and between departments so that each can realize the importance of accurate reporting procedures. Partner with RC Portfolio Leaders to develop training opportunities for staff, further enhancing the impact of the portfolios and the company. Partner s wit h Executive Dire ctors and/or RC Portfolio Leaders to p r ovi d e t r aining to Biller s and Billing Managers . Utilizes ticketing software to track trends of support/education needs. Develop and maintain reporting metrics to identify agencies that need additional support through training and education—developing plans with EDs and RCPLs to enhance the field results. Pioneering the creation of best practices for Service Center and Field in a manner that is easy to understand and adopt into practice. Create methods that are engaging and easy to absorb. Establishes and maintain s positive and colla b orat i ve working r elat i onships w i th AR Serv ic e C enter R e s ou r ces, Biller s / B illing Managers, othe r RC Portfolio Leaders, and p a yo r s . Maintains a comprehensive working knowledge of payor contracts and ensures that agencies are billing and collecting according to contract provisions, and adjusts training courses accordingly. JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) At least three years’ experience in health care billing and collections management Experience in home health and/or hospice operations ​ Demonstrated experience in LMS development with configuration skills. Ability to exercis e disc r et i on and independent judgment and demonstr a te effective communication , negotiati on, and public r el a tions s kills . Demons trate d capability to manage detailed information accurately . Ability to work tactfull y and collabor a t i ve l y with collea gu es, pee r s, servi c e c en t er p ersonnel , referral s our c es, and payers . Demonstrate s ingenuity , a utonomy, assert i vene s s , fl e xibility, and cooperat i on in perfo r ming jo b responsibilities . Experience with in Home Care Home Base, Waystar, Availity, Medicare Administration Contractors (MACs) portals , etc., with the ability to train staff in software systems and processes.
