Opportunity Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Report Writer / SAP Analytics Consultant to support enterprise reporting, analytics, data integration, and business intelligence initiatives for the Province of Manitoba. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise across SAP S/4HANA, ECC, SAP Datasphere, SAP Fiori, Embedded Analytics, SAP BTP, SAP BW/BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), CDS Views, and Power BI.

The role requires extensive experience working with complex SAP environments, enterprise reporting solutions, data models, KPI frameworks, reporting security, performance optimization, and SAP/non-SAP data integration.

Role Overview

The successful resource will support complex enterprise SAP reporting and analytics initiatives, with responsibility for designing, developing, implementing, integrating, securing, testing, and optimizing reporting solutions across SAP and non-SAP environments.

The role requires strong hands-on expertise in SAP analytics technologies, enterprise data models, reporting frameworks, dashboards, KPI solutions, and data integration, along with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP Reporting & Analytics
• Design, develop, implement, and support enterprise SAP reporting and analytics solutions.
• Develop and support SAP Fiori analytical applications, KPI dashboards, analytical reports, and embedded analytics solutions.
• Develop SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics solutions using CDS Views, analytical queries, virtual data models, and Fiori-based reporting.
• Design enterprise reporting data models, KPI frameworks, metrics, dimensions, hierarchies, and analytical solutions.
• Develop executive dashboards, scorecards, operational reports, and KPI reporting solutions.
• Develop Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and analytics solutions using SAP and non-SAP data sources.
• SAP Datasphere, BTP & Data Warehousing
• Design and implement solutions using SAP Datasphere, including data modeling, data integration, semantic layers, and enterprise reporting.
• Work with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to support analytics, reporting, integration, and extension services.
• Support SAP S/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud integration and reporting requirements.
• Develop and support solutions within SAP BW, BW/4HANA, or equivalent SAP data warehousing environments.
• Develop and maintain scalable enterprise data and reporting architectures.
• Data Integration & Data Management
• Integrate SAP and non-SAP data sources using APIs, OData services, SAP Integration Suite, and other enterprise integration technologies.
• Design data models and integration processes supporting enterprise analytics and reporting.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, testing, and quality assurance activities.
• Ensure reporting data is accurate, consistent, complete, and fit for business use.
• Troubleshoot data and reporting issues and implement appropriate resolutions.
• Reporting Security & Performance Optimization
• Implement and support reporting security using SAP authorizations, CDS access controls, analytic privileges, and role-based access models.
• Optimize the performance of SAP reporting and analytics solutions across:
• SAP Analytics Cloud
• S/4HANA Embedded Analytics
• CDS Views
• SAP Datasphere
• SAP Fiori applications
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies.
• Ensure reporting solutions comply with applicable security and access requirements.
• Business & Technical Analysis
• Perform business analysis, systems analysis, and solution architecture for complex information systems.
• Translate business and reporting requirements into effective SAP technical solutions.
• Support solution architecture and technical design activities across SAP environments.
• Work with stakeholders and technical teams to understand reporting requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, status updates, and project-related deliverables.
• Leadership & Project Support
• Work effectively within large ERP programs and complex enterprise environments.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members.
• Directly manage employees and team members where required.
• Apply appropriate project management methodologies and practices.
• Prepare written reports and status updates regarding project and program progress.
• Collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders to maintain positive working relationships.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing priorities and deliverables.

Education

Work Arrangement & Important Conditions

• The primary service location is 215 Garry Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
• Manitoba may, at its sole discretion, permit the resource to work remotely.
• The onsite rate applies when the resource works primarily onsite.
• The remote rate applies when the resource works primarily remotely and may be required to attend onsite when requested.
• Standard working hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM CST, Monday to Friday.
• Manitoba statutory holidays are unpaid.
• Extended hours may occasionally be required to meet project deadlines.
• Overtime must receive advance written approval from Manitoba before it can be billed.
  
  

Background Check Requirement

A clean criminal record check is required at the successful service provider's expense before commencing onsite or remote work.

An enhanced background check may also be required for certain projects involving confidential information. Maintaining the required background-check status is a condition throughout the engagement.
