Job Title RISE Program Manager, Leadership Development Job Description Summary Job Description The RISE Program Manager is responsible for the execution, iteration, and delivery of the RISE flagship leadership development program as well as creating other offerings as guided by the Senior Program Manager. RISE is a flagship 9-week cohort program that readies hourly team members with high leadership potential for the role of Assistant Maintenance Manager, or frontline, salaried leadership. It includes multiple classroom weeks as well as on-job-training rotations, and program project. This role will work closely with the Senior Program Manager of leadership development, subject matter experts, and field leaders to target opportunities to better RISE and create offerings for pipeline RISE candidates with a focus on delivery methods for adult learners in busy environments. This position also collaborates with Support Team leads to maintain internal alignment, company standards, procedures, and initiatives. Knowledge and experience in RISE and/or instructional design, learning and development outcomes, facilitating, and building strong relationships with multiple levels of leaders are essential. Location: Virtual, anywhere in the U.S. Key Responsibilities: Collaborates with senior program manager of leadership development and internal subject matter experts to scope, outline, and iterate RISE program aspects and create People 1st Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) leadership development experiences that align with performance gaps and our business and client needs Balances demands of a large development program (RISE) and other requests against timelines that may shift – ability to communicate roadblocks, help needed, and needed changes to meet completion Ability to have equal focus on big picture and full details of a 9-week program that also includes a panel interview process prior to program launch, logistics for cohort members living in temporary lodging, and coordinating all aspects and schedule of program, including all leaders who join the classroom and sites involved in on-job-training rotations. Builds relationships with leaders in the field and in support roles to collaborate effectively Informs and helps design operations leadership content, including on-job-training, aligned to business needs and performance gaps by role Delivers RME leadership training in-person in classrooms, virtually, and on-site as designed Continuously develops strong facilitation and storytelling skills to drive their effectiveness in connecting learners to their impact on RME operations performance and our culture, mission, and values Analyzes and evaluates effectiveness of programs, development experiences via participant feedback, stakeholder feedback, any tracked outcomes or metrics, including retention and promotions Designs and/or oversees design of, supports and/or conducts an “Is Leadership Right for Me?” series to create a strong pipeline for potential RISE candidates Collaborates with account leadership development team and C&W Services leadership development team on future direction, needs, and collaborates or supports where needed for successful outcomes Drive a learning culture and support account strategic initiatives as directed Preferred Skills & Qualifications: 3-5 years related experience in learning and development roles and/or 3-5 years of RME experience preferably in the supply chain / logistics industry Proven success in similar roles in large and complex logistics or manufacturing industry Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills Demonstrated leadership and team building skills Bachelor’s degree in education or related field or commensurate experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience developing and/or executing development offerings for adult learners, including in-person instructor-led, virtual, and online Experience and familiarity with Learning Management Systems like Workday and e-learning authoring tools like Articulate Rise This position requires a high level of autonomy. Successful candidates have demonstrated ability to identify needs, solve and solution to those needs and create documentation and SOPs to support solutions with minimal supervision Travel Requirement: Travel – this position includes up to 50% travel depending on business needs for in-person L&D workshops and courses Travel could be more than 50% / month in short term if program/business needs call for it Why Choose Us?
