Job Summary The Risk Analyst supports the organization's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), audit coordination, incident and corrective action governance, compliance assurance, and operational risk management activities through research, data analysis, and evidence-based risk assessment. This role serves as a central analytical resource for the Risk and Assurance team by researching regulatory requirements, enforcement actions, industry best practices, emerging risks, and control strategies to support informed organizational decision-making. The Risk Analyst partners closely with the Director and Senior Manager of Risk and Assurance leadership and stakeholders across the organization to support all aspects of the enterprise risk lifecycle, including enterprise risk assessments, risk and incident intake and triage, root cause analysis, corrective action oversight, audit coordination, governance reporting, control evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires strong research, critical thinking, writing, data analysis, and project coordination skills. A strong background in healthcare research, public health, compliance, policy analysis, or healthcare administration is highly desirable. Candidates with a Master of Public Health (MPH) or similar graduate education are encouraged to apply;, as the role requires the abilitythe successful candidate will be able to synthesize complex regulatory, operational, and public health information into actionable business recommendations. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Risk Management Support enterprise-wide risk assessments, structured risk interviews, and enterprise risk register maintenance. Research regulatory, contractual, operational, financial, legal, and reputational implications associated with identified risks. Conduct environmental scanning of enforcement actions, OIG work plans, CMS guidance, state regulatory actions, and emerging industry risks. Assist with development of enterprise risk profiles, risk scoring methodologies, and mitigation recommendations. Identify concentrations of risk, systemic issues, and recurring themes across departments and business processes. Support assessment of control effectiveness and residual risk. Research and Risk Intelligence Conduct research on healthcare regulations, enforcement trends, litigation, settlements, corrective action plans, Corporate Integrity Agreements, audit findings, and industry best practices. Evaluate external events and industry developments for potential organizational impact. Prepare clear, evidence-based summaries and recommendations for leadership. Maintain an organized repository of research, source materials, analyses, and conclusions. Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls based on external regulatory trends. Collaborate with Legal, Corporate Compliance, Operations, Information Security, Human Resources, and other subject matter experts to validate interpretations and assess business impact. Corrective Action and Assurance Support centralized intake, documentation, triage, classification, and monitoring of incidents, audit findings, control deficiencies, and corrective action plans (CAPs). governance and monitoring. Participate in root cause analysis activities and trend recurring findings across the organization. Evaluate remediation and prevention strategies for sustainability and effectiveness. Assist with monitoring implementation of corrective actions and escalation of overdue or ineffective remediation efforts. Audit Coordination and Reporting Support planning and coordination of regulatory, client, external, and SOC audits. Assist with development and quality review of audit deliverables. Develop dashboards, reports, and governance materials supporting executive leadership and compliance committees. Analyze trends across audits, investigations, incidents, and risk assessments. Requirements: Strong research and analytical capabilities with the ability to synthesize complex information from multiple sources. Knowledge of healthcare compliance, Medicaid, public health, healthcare policy, or regulatory environments. Experience evaluating regulatory guidance, enforcement actions, or healthcare policy. Excellent written communication and technical writing skills. Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities. Ability to evaluate control design and effectiveness. Strong organizational and project management skills. Curiosity, critical thinking, and a continuous improvement mindset. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree required in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Health Policy, Compliance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field preferred. Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Health Administration (MHA), Master of Public Policy (MPP), Juris Doctor (JD), or similar graduate degree strongly preferred. Substantial professional experience may be substituted in lieu of a professional degree. Experience: Five years of relevant healthcare compliance, public health, research, quality, analytics, audit, or risk management experience; or Two years of relevant professional experience combined with a Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Health Policy, Compliance, or related field. Experience conducting healthcare regulatory research strongly preferred. Medicaid or consumer-directed services experience preferred. Working Conditions Remote with occasional business travel. Supervisory Responsibility (if applicable): N/A; TBD as team scales. Compensation Range: $77,500 - $102,600 / annually This role is eligible for a base salary within the posted range. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation may vary for positions based in high cost-of-labor markets.
