Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Risk & Compliance Officer to play a crucial role in shaping our compliance landscape. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fully remote setting, focusing on risk assessment, compliance monitoring, and regulatory adherence. You will engage with internal stakeholders to address financial crime risks and ensure the company’s operations align with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Conduct KYC/KYB, CDD/EDD, and AML reviews of individual and corporate clients. Perform customer and business risk assessments, including risk classification and identification of key risk factors. Develop, maintain, and improve the company’s risk matrix, risk scoring methodology, and risk assessment framework. Conduct ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews, with a particular focus on medium- and high-risk clients. Review corporate structures, UBOs, source of funds/source of wealth, transaction activity, and supporting documentation. Identify red flags and suspicious activity, investigate cases, and escalate findings when required. Support and improve internal AML, Compliance, and Risk policies, procedures, controls, and monitoring processes in line with regulatory requirements. Requirements 3+ years of experience in AML, Compliance, Financial Crime, or Risk. 1+ years in FinTech, payments, EMI/PI, banking, crypto, Forex, or another regulated financial services environment. Strong practical understanding of AML/KYC/KYB, CDD/EDD, ongoing monitoring, and risk-based approaches. Hands-on experience working with risk matrices, risk scoring, customer risk assessment, or risk classification methodologies. Ability to assess complex corporate structures and identify relevant financial crime and compliance risks. Understanding of European AML and financial services regulatory requirements. Experience working with transaction monitoring and identifying suspicious activity. Languages: English C1, Russian C1. Key Soft Skills Strong analytical skills and ability to make well-reasoned, risk-based decisions. Ability to work independently in a remote and international environment. Excellent communication skills for collaboration across diverse teams. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Adaptability to evolving regulatory environments.
