This position supports Demand Management and Operations within the PMO. The intern will play a key role in process improvement and project scope at the early stages of demand intake. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What You Will Do
Refine project scope based on business goals, feasibility, and resource constraints after receiving requests through demand intake.
Triage and prioritize incoming requests, ensuring effective customer engagement and outreach.
Maintain and ensure data accuracy in Planview.
Identify gaps by reviewing Planview data audits and collaborate with Portfolio Managers (PfMs) and Project Managers (PMs) to ensure data consistency.
Support audit and compliance requirements by maintaining thorough records and processes.
Create, develop, and edit documentation for processes to ensure clarity and alignment with project goals.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Management, or a related field.
Basic understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (or Google Workspace).
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello, MS Project).
Experience with data analysis or reporting.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with a keen attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
Prior RTX internship experience related to operations or project management.

: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
