At Cleveland Clinic in Florida, all our caregivers are focused o n providing quality, efficient health care, whether working with the patients face-to-face or over the phone. As an RN on this team, you will be assisting primary care patients remotely by providing triage services , working to the highest scope of your license. This role helps guide patient care, resolve concerns in a timely manner and provide the best outcome for patient treatment. Caregivers in this role enjoy the flexibility of a remote role while still having the ability to interact with patients and use critical thinking skills. A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM – 4:30PM or 8:30AM – 5:00PM. Following the training period, this caregiver will work remotely. Residing within two hours of Martin North and Martin South (Stuart , FL) is required . A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting. Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans. Collaborate with care coordinators to ensure smooth and effective transitions of care. Administer medications and treatments. Initiate CPR and other emergency measures. Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings. Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment. Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families. Cover other nursing roles within the department. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross One year of recent experience as an RN Will consider LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution of RN experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor ’s of S cience in N ursing (BSN) Strong assessment skills Primary Care experience Experience using EPIC Physical Requirements: Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids. Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
