Safeguarding Insight Analyst Full Time / 37.50 hours per week / Monday to Friday Remote with some travel to our Nurseries and our offices in Northampton and London Salary From £43k per annum Closing Date for this role: 15th August 2026 All applicants need to attach an up-to-date CV to be considered Purpose of the Role The Safeguarding Insight Analyst is responsible for transforming safeguarding, investigational, compliance and regulatory data into actionable insights that support risk reduction, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. Working across multiple data sources, the role develops reporting, dashboards, forecasting and analytical models that enable leaders to identify emerging trends, monitor performance and make evidence-based decisions that strengthen safeguarding outcomes across the organisation. Key Accountabilities Analyse safeguarding, compliance and operational data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies and emerging risks. Provide insight into safeguarding activity, incident themes, regulatory performance and organisational risk indicators. Build dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide visibility of key safeguarding KPIs and performance measures. Generate actionable insights and recommendations that support safeguarding improvements and risk mitigation. Conduct deep-dive investigations into safeguarding themes, identifying root causes and opportunities for intervention. Develop forecasting and predictive insight models to anticipate safeguarding trends, workload demand and organisational risks. Monitor safeguarding performance indicators and provide early warning intelligence on emerging concerns. Support the evaluation of safeguarding initiatives, interventions and improvement activities through data-led analysis. Use data and insight to inform resource planning, prioritisation and strategic decision making. Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and automated reporting solutions for safeguarding metrics. Produce accurate, timely and insightful reports for safeguarding leaders, operational teams and executive stakeholders. Ensure reporting is accessible, meaningful and supports action at local, regional and organisational levels. Translate complex data into clear visualisations and compelling narratives for non-technical audiences. Act as the data steward for safeguarding reporting and analytics. Ensure safeguarding data is accurate, consistent and reliable across systems and reporting platforms. Work with HR, Operations, Systems and safeguarding teams to improve data quality and reporting capability. Maintain reporting definitions, data dictionaries and safeguarding governance documentation. Collaborate with safeguarding, operational, people and compliance teams to understand business challenges and develop analytical solutions. Support senior leaders with insight-led recommendations and evidence for strategic decisions. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels. Enable organisational learning by identifying trends and sharing insights that improve safeguarding capability and outcomes. Essential Experience Strong proficiency with Power BI, including data modelling, visualisation and dashboard development. Advanced Excel capability. Experience analysing large and complex datasets from multiple sources. Experience developing reporting frameworks, KPI dashboards and management information. Knowledge of SQL or other data querying tools desirable. Understanding of data governance, quality assurance and reporting best practice. Ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches and meaningful insights. Strong trend analysis, forecasting and problem-solving capability. Experience presenting complex information in a simple, engaging and actionable way. Strong data visualisation and storytelling skills. High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity. Desired Experience Experience within early years, education, childcare, healthcare or other regulated safeguarding environments Experience of working with safeguarding case data or compliance/audit frameworks Knowledge of relevant safeguarding legislation, standards or inspection frameworks Qualifications and Desired Qualifications Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g. Data Analytics, Social Care, Business or similar) – Desirable Relevant professional qualification in data analysis, safeguarding or risk management – Desirable Bright Horizons is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
