Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SailPoint Engineer to join a leading financial services organisation in Germany. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, implementation, integration, and support of the enterprise Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platform, with a primary focus on SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) and/or SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC).

You will work closely with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Application Development, Risk, Compliance and Business stakeholders to ensure robust identity governance controls, regulatory compliance and secure access management across the organisation.

This role is critical in supporting the firm's security strategy, regulatory obligations and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or SailPoint Identity Security Cloud solutions.
• Build and manage application integrations, connectors and custom workflows across enterprise systems.
• Configure and maintain lifecycle management processes including Joiner, Mover, and Leaver workflows.
• Develop provisioning and de-provisioning solutions across on-premises and cloud-based applications.
• Implement and support certification campaigns, access reviews and Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls.
• Design and develop custom SailPoint rules, workflows, forms, reports and API integrations.
• Collaborate with IAM architects and security teams to define governance models and access policies.
• Integrate SailPoint with Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, LDAP, SAP, ServiceNow, HR systems and other business-critical applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex identity governance issues while ensuring platform stability.
• Support security audits, regulatory reviews and compliance initiatives.
• Participate in platform upgrades, migrations and enhancement projects.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and knowledge articles.
• Contribute to IAM strategy, architecture reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

• 5+ years of hands-on SailPoint engineering experience.
• Strong experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or SailPoint Identity Security Cloud.
• Experience implementing Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management and access governance processes.
• Experience developing SailPoint workflows, rules, certifications, provisioning policies and custom integrations.
• Proficiency in Java, Beanshell, XML, REST APIs and web services.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications, directories and cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of:
• Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
• Access Certifications
• Segregation of Duties (SoD)
• Identity Lifecycle Management
• Privileged Access concepts
• Experience working within regulated environments such as banking, insurance, or financial services.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Financial Services & Regulatory Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting identity governance programmes within regulated financial environments and understanding of:
