The Opportunity
The Sales Director, Europe will be responsible for driving revenue growth, securing new strategic partnerships, and expanding relationships with existing customers across the European MedTech market.
Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams, the successful candidate will lead complex commercial engagements, identify new business opportunities, and position the organisation as a trusted long-term partner to medical device manufacturers.
This role offers the opportunity to influence commercial strategy, develop key customer relationships, and contribute directly to the continued success of a growing international organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans across Europe.
- Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities with medical device manufacturers.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships across R&D, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain functions.
- Manage complex sales cycles from initial opportunity identification through qualification, commercial negotiation, and programme implementation.
- Develop long-term account strategies to maximise revenue growth and customer retention.
- Establish the organisation as a preferred development and manufacturing partner within target markets.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and provide accurate sales forecasting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to ensure successful delivery of customer programmes.
- Support supplier qualification audits, business reviews, and strategic customer engagements.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to identify future growth opportunities.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will possess:
- A proven track record in Sales Leadership, Business Development, Strategic Account Management, or Commercial Leadership within the medical device industry.
- Experience selling complex manufacturing, engineering, product development, or outsourced production solutions.
- Demonstrated success managing high-value, long-cycle sales opportunities with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Experience engaging with executive leadership teams as well as technical and operational decision-makers.
- A strong understanding of medical device development, manufacturing processes, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
- The ability to communicate complex technical solutions in a commercially compelling manner.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
- A degree in Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related technical discipline would be advantageous.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Europe.
