AVANT is seeking a customer-facing Sales Engineer to support Trusted Advisors (TAs) and their clients across cloud, security, and managed services. This individual contributor will lead technical discovery, translate business and technical requirements into effective solution strategies, align opportunities with AVANT providers, help advance complex sales engagements, and assist in management of online customer and TA’s requests.
Essential Functions:
· Lead technical discovery, qualification, and solution-design discussions with customers of all sizes.
· Conduct virtual/onsite client meetings and translate client objectives, risks, and technical requirements into vendor recommendations.
· Support Trusted Advisors with account mapping, vendor selection, competitive positioning, and opportunity advancement.
· Use AVANT Pathfinder and other proprietary tools throughout the discovery and sales process.
· Maintain current knowledge of providers, technologies, market trends, and competitive alternatives.
· Identify portfolio gaps and collaborate with practice, sales, engineering, marketing, and provider-management teams.
Requirements
· 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting.
· Demonstrated technical depth in cloud and/or cybersecurity.
· Strong discovery, presentation, written communication, and consultative-selling skills.
· Ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and business audiences.
· Experience supporting complex sales opportunities and influencing customer decisions.
· Channel, TSD, MSP, MSSP, cloud-provider, or technology-partner experience preferred.
