Program Overview: Verisk's 2027 Summer Internship Program is designed to provide you with meaningful real-world experience, professional development, and networking opportunities. Recognized as a Top 100 Internship Program by Yello and WayUp , our program empowers interns to make a tangible impact while learning from industry experts and building connections across the organization. This is a full-time (40 hours/week), paid internship program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2027. Participation in the program requires that you are located near your assigned office, as our hybrid work schedule requires interns to work in the office at least 3 days per week throughout the summer. Successful candidates will be invited to a two-stage interview process including: Digital Interview: Our team is keen to get to know you. You'll be introduced to several members of our team as they share their experiences about life at Verisk. We will ask you a series of questions in order to learn about what drives you and where your interests lie – it is your opportunity to make yourself stand out from the pack. This is a great way for you to meet several of our employees outside of a traditional 1:1 interview. Final Live Virtual Interview: This round is to determine if Verisk’s culture is right for you. You'll have the opportunity to speak with several members of our actuarial recruitment committee. Offer: Our committee will meet and discuss your candidacy. Should you be extended an offer, we will advise you of the business and location where your internship will take place. What You Could Learn: Analyze relevant data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities. Conduct in-depth research to understand customer needs and industry dynamics. Contribute to the creation of innovative programs or projects that drive customer value. Inventory and assess existing Artificial Intelligence capabilities along with new market assets to provide a go-forward recommendation for how we should leverage AI as a competitive differentiator for our sales organization. Support the sales teams in curating and delivering marketing and sales support materials related to our catastrophe risk management solutions to clients and prospects via technology platforms such as Highspot, as well as conventional distribution methods such as emails Perform market analysis to help identify target prospects What We’re Looking For: Skills and Knowledge Seeking those who are collaborative, well rounded, passionate, and have a strong work ethic. Highly motivated to take initiative, responsible, excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to learn, problem-solve and work independently on projects. Have a growth mindset to complete all responsibilities and be eager to learn. You'll notice we did not list specific skills. That's because the "stuff" that matters, the passion, the quantitative mindset, the ability to be a good teammate but also operate independently - these are what we are evaluating you on. We seek innovators who can add to our culture, contribute to our growth, and strive for excellence. Experience Enrolled in bachelors or masters program. Must be graduating in December 2027 or May/June 2028. Must be available to begin the internship program on June 2, 2027 and participate in the full 10-week program. A history of tackling projects with a quantitative lens, and a desire for data-driven insights. Verisk serves the insurance vertical so an interest or past experience in insurance is helpful, though not required. Technical skill requirements vary depending on the position. Be sure to include your technical skillset on your resume, and we can go from there. At a minimum, you should have Microsoft excel as a foundation.
