IGS is currently recruiting a remote Salesforce Platform Architect to support our work with our federal customer. Assignment of Work and Travel: This is a remote access assignment. The Candidate will work remotely daily and will remotely access customer systems and therein use approved customer provided communications systems. Travel is not required; however, the candidate may be required to attend onsite client meetings as requested. IGS is seeking a highly talented Salesforce Platform Architect to support the Salesforce Center of Excellence. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Salesforce architecture and best practices, as well as extensive experience in enterprise-level Salesforce implementations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business transformation initiatives. Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to): Design and implement scalable Salesforce architecture solutions aligned with program requirements. Lead technical design sessions and provide architectural guidance across Salesforce platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business transformation initiatives. Define and enforce Salesforce development standards, best practices, and governance policies. Evaluate and recommend integration patterns and middleware solutions. Oversee data modeling, security architecture, and platform performance optimization. Mentor and provide technical leadership to development teams. Communicate architectural decisions and technical strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in Salesforce architecture, development, and implementation. Extensive experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and platform capabilities. Strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs. Experience with data modeling, integration patterns, and middleware solutions such as MuleSoft. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CodeScan, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing in Salesforce environments. Lead rigorous code reviews and PR evaluations to enforce high standards of system architecture, security, and performance. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to design scalable, maintainable, and high-performing solutions. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to obtain government Public Trust. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship due to clearance requirement. Strong organizational skills Preferred Qualifications and Core Competencies: Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Application Architect, or System Architect. Experience in large-scale enterprise implementations of Salesforce. Knowledge of AI/ML capabilities within the Salesforce ecosystem. Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools. Active VA Public Trust Prior, experience supporting federal agencies, especially the Department of Veterans Affairs.
