Job Description

We are seeking a strong and detail-oriented Senior Salesforce QA Engineer to lead QA work across Salesforce platforms. In this role, resoruce will bridge the gap between manual functional testing and automated test execution. Candidate is responsible for validating and ensuring the fucntionality, quality, reliability, performance of our Salesforce platform, testing both standard configurations and integrations. The ideal candidate will champion quality best practices, independently lead the work, and ensure accountability

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years of software Quality Assurance experience, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years specifically focused on testing Salesforce applications.
• Testing Methodologies: Deep understanding of functional, non-functional, manual, and automated testing methodologies, as well as the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Salesforce Knowledge: Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, user roles, security models, data modeling, and release management.
• Agile/Tools: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira, Confluence, and test management tools (e.g., Zephyr, TestRail).
• Automation Skills: Hands-on experience building UI and API automation frameworks from scratch. Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, Python, C#) or Javascript/TypeScript.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Testing Strategy: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Salesforce Ecosystem Testing: Conduct rigorous functional and regression testing on Salesforce platforms, and Lightning interfaces. Validate Custom Objects, Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), flows, and validation rules.
• Manual & Functional Testing: Perform exploratory, smoke, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for complex business workflows where automation is not yet implemented or feasible.
• Integration & API Testing: Verify seamless data flow between Salesforce and third-party applications using API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution using Jira (or similar tools). Work closely with developers and Salesforce Administrators to perform root-cause analysis.
• Automation Framework Management: Build, scale, and maintain automated testing frameworks for Salesforce using industry-standard tools (any automation experience) not mandatory
• Release Management: Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Copado, GitHub Actions) and manage sandbox testing environments.
• Agile Leadership: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, Retrospectives). Advocate for QA best practices and provide test estimates to ensure timely delivery of features.
