Job Title: Freelance SAP ABAP Developer (1-Year Contract)

Location: Belgium (Hybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Freelance SAP ABAP Developer to design, develop, and maintain custom SAP solutions using ABAP. In this role, you will collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, efficient, and innovative SAP enhancements. Your expertise will drive process automation, performance optimization, and seamless integration within our SAP environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop custom ABAP programs, reports, and enhancements to meet business requirements.
• Customize SAP workflows, forms, and user exits.
• Integrate SAP with external systems (e.g., databases, APIs, third-party applications).
• Optimize ABAP code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Perform SAP system upgrades, patches, and migrations while ensuring minimal disruption.
• Write clean, well-documented, and reusable ABAP code following best practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience as an SAP ABAP Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in ABAP programming (ABAP Objects, ABAP Reports, Module Pools).
• Experience with SAP NetWeaver and SAP HANA.
• Hands-on experience with SAP system integrations (APIs, databases, third-party systems).
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori or UI5 for frontend enhancements is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP Transport Management System (TMS) for code deployment.
• Experience with ABAP unit testing and performance optimization techniques.

Languages

• Fluent in English (required for collaboration).
• Fluent in French or Dutch (required for client/stakeholder communication).
