Pay Rate: $70 – $75/hr (C2C)

Introduction

We are seeking an SAP Analyst to join a Finance team supporting FP&A and General Ledger processes, with a focus on automating journal entries and improving month-end efficiency. This is a great opportunity for a junior-to-mid-level SAP finance professional (roughly 4–7 years of experience) who wants hands-on exposure to FP&A, GL accounting, and SAP Finance modules in a healthcare industry environment. The ideal candidate brings strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills along with a pragmatic, process-improvement mindset.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered.

• 3–5 years in finance roles with direct exposure to FP&A and General Ledger responsibilities
• Practical experience with SAP FI, master data, posting logic, and month-end processes
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, journal entry mechanics, reconciliations, and close activities
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Query, formulas, macros/VBA preferred); strong familiarity with Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
• Comfortable working with automation tools, APIs, or RPA; able to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Strong attention to detail, problem solving, and ability to perform variance and root cause analysis
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to present findings to finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Nice-to-have skills that would make a candidate more competitive but are not required.

• Experience with journal entry automation, RPA, or AI-assisted finance tools
• Experience building reports, dashboards, or simple apps using Microsoft Power Platform / Power BI
• Basic SQL or scripting knowledge to extract and manipulate financial data
• Familiarity with integrations between SAP and other finance systems or data warehouses
• SAP certification in FI/CO, or an accounting certification (CPA, CMA)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Outline of key tasks and expectations for the role.

• Design, test, and deploy automated journal entry workflows to reduce manual posting and improve accuracy
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot SAP Finance modules relevant to GL and FP&A (FI, CO, and related submodules)
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and journal posting
• Prepare financial analyses, forecasts, and variance explanations to support budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Identify opportunities to streamline GL and FP&A processes; document requirements and collaborate with IT and automation teams to implement solutions
• Maintain strong controls around journal entry automation; ensure auditability and compliance with accounting policies
• Work cross-functionally with accounting, treasury, tax, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and validate automated outputs
• Build and maintain Excel models and Power BI/Power Platform reports to monitor automation performance and financial KPIs
• Create test scripts, perform user acceptance testing, and maintain clear process and technical documentation
