SAP FICO Lead

Our global end client is looking for an experienced SAP FICO Team Lead to join their team on a permanent basis.

You will play a key role in a multi-project SAP S/4HANA rollout programme, providing functional leadership across the FICO workstream. The role is primarily focused on team leadership, delivery and stakeholder management, with occasional hands-on involvement in areas such as configuration, customisation, functional analysis and testing when required.

Location: Candidates must be based in Poland or Hungary. The role is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to company offices for key stages.

Start date: Flexible, with the latest possible start date being January 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of up to five SAP FICO consultants, including resource planning, recruitment, onboarding and performance management.
• Coordinate weekly FICO workstream and project meetings, tracking progress, actions, decisions and cross-project change requests.
• Work closely with Project Managers, SAP Solution Architects and Business Process Owners to align deliverables with the wider S/4HANA roadmap.
• Oversee the quality of requirements, configuration, testing, documentation, defect resolution, training and hyper-care activities.
• Provide weekly project status reporting and support resource/time tracking across multiple projects.
• Remain hands-on with SAP CO configuration and functional delivery, including WRICEF analysis/testing, data design and validation, particularly around sales order costing.
• Support Business Key Users through training and hyper-care.
• Work with Global SAP Solution Architects to ensure Finance & Controlling solutions remain aligned with the global SAP template.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years' SAP FI/CO experience, including at least 3 years in a Team Lead role.
• Strong experience delivering SAP S/4HANA implementations and rollouts, ideally using SAP Activate and Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on SAP CO configuration and implementation experience.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end Finance and Controlling processes and SAP S/4HANA architecture.
• Experience working within large-scale, global SAP programmes and leading teams of around five people.
• Strong manufacturing industry experience, ideally Metal or Automotive, with exposure to Make-to-Order (MTO) environments.
• Good knowledge of SAP integration technologies including IDocs, eDocs and EDI, plus basic ABAP debugging skills.
• Experience with Fiori and SAP Analytics Cloud; an interest in emerging technologies such as SAP Joule.
• Understanding of environment management, release control, versioning and deployment practices.
• VIM knowledge is advantageous.
