SAP Insurance Project Manager JP055215 Contract Type: Freelance / Framework Agreement Duration: 4 Months (Full-Time) Location: Fully Remote (Nearshore / Offshore) Language Requirements: English (Professional Working Proficiency required); Dutch or French (Nice to have) Role Seniority: Medior / Senior IT Project Manager Role Overview The SAP Insurance Project Manager will lead the delivery of a strategic SAP Portal project integrated with core SAP insurance modules (policy, claims, finance, risk management, and reporting). Acting as the central bridge between business stakeholders, enterprise architects, technical teams, and external system integrators, this role ensures the end-to-end execution of SAP solutions aligned with business goals, regulatory standards, budgets, and timelines. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Leadership & Governance Define end-to-end project scope, deliverables, governance structures, baselines, and cross-workstream dependencies. Oversee execution in compliance with organizational change and quality management standards. 2. Stakeholder & Business Management Engage business owners across insurance departments, facilitate decision-making workshops, and align expectations. Resolve operational conflicts, drive timely sign-offs, and maintain transparent communication plans. 3. SAP Delivery Oversight Direct the SAP portal delivery and its integration with: Core Insurance: SAP FS-PM, FS-CM, FS-CD, msg.PM, Business Partner, MDG Analytics & Platform: SAP BW / Datasphere / SAC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP Manage external system integrators and monitor vendor contractual commitments. 4. Risk, Quality & Financial Management Maintain RAID logs, define risk mitigation strategies, and manage issue escalations. Oversee enterprise project budgets (€1M+), track financial forecasts, and approve expenditures. Define quality gates and manage testing phases (SIT, UAT, Performance, and Cutover testing). 5. Change Management & Adoption Coordinate user readiness, training programs, and go-live transition plans to maximize platform adoption and business benefits realization. Requirements & Competencies Mandatory Qualifications Project Management Experience: Minimum 4+ years in IT project management, with 2+ years specifically leading SAP delivery projects. Domain Focus: Direct experience in SAP insurance transformation projects. Budget Oversight: Proven track record managing project budgets exceeding €1 Million . Vendor Management: Direct experience directing external system integrators. Preferred Technical & Functional Skills Domain Niche: Experience in Export Credit or Reinsurance environments. SAP Ecosystem: Hands-on exposure to SAP Portal, FS-PM, msg.PM, FS-CM, FS-CD, S/4HANA, BTP, ABAP, MDG, and SAP Solution Manager / Cloud ALM. Tools & Analytics: Power BI, Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Project Online / Planner. Leadership & Soft Skills Strong executive stakeholder management and negotiation skills. Decisive decision-making and conflict resolution under pressure. Strategic thinking and results-oriented delivery focus.
