SAP Technical Delivery Lead (Anywhere in India; preferred Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune)

Hybrid role* (Remote/ on-site) , India Brief Overview At Tenthpin we are seeking a talented, client-facing, and collaborative SAP Technical Delivery Lead to join our rapidly growing technical consulting team. This is an opportunity for an experienced SAP technical professional who has evolved from a strong SAP ABAP development background into technical leadership whilst remaining close to hands-on delivery. You will play a key role in shaping technical solutions, guiding development teams, and supporting the successful delivery of SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes for leading Life Sciences organisations. The successful candidate will combine technical credibility with leadership capability, remaining actively involved in solution design, technical problem solving, development oversight, and key delivery activities. The Opportunity As an SAP Technical Delivery Lead, you will play a key role in delivering complex SAP S/4HANA engagements, providing technical leadership across delivery teams. The role will include, but not be limited to, the following: · Lead technical delivery across SAP S/4HANA programmes, operating as a Technical Lead and trusted technical expert whilst remaining close to hands-on delivery where required. · Act as a trusted advisor to clients on SAP technical architecture, development approaches, and best practices. · Provide technical and architectural guidance across ABAP, BTP, CPI, RAP, Fiori, and related SAP technologies, helping define solution approaches, technical foundations, development standards, and clean core delivery principles. · Lead, mentor, and coordinate technical teams, supporting estimation, planning, allocation, and monitoring of technical delivery activities. · Work closely with Functional Consultants, Project Managers, Architects, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. · Review technical deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards whilst proactively managing technical risks, issues, and dependencies. · Contribute to the continued development of Tenthpin's SAP technical capabilities, methodologies, and innovation across SAP technologies and AI-enabled solutions. Your Experience First and foremost, you are a genuine consultant with strong technical credibility, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to build trusted relationships with both technical and business stakeholders. You will also have relevant SAP skills, including: · 10–15 years of SAP technical delivery experience. · Strong SAP ABAP development background, ideally having progressed through Lead Developer or ABAP Development Lead roles into technical leadership positions. · Proven experience delivering SAP S/4HANA technical workstreams, including planning, estimation, and coordination of delivery activities. · Strong experience across SAP BTP, CPI, RAP, Fiori, and related SAP technologies. · Experience delivering SAP BTP-led solutions alongside SAP S/4HANA programmes. · Experience leading technical teams of approximately 10–20 developers whilst remaining close to hands-on delivery. · Ability to operate as a Technical Lead or Lead Developer when required. · Experience defining technical architecture, standards, and delivery approaches. · Experience working with business and technical stakeholders across SAP delivery programmes. · Experience working with globally distributed delivery teams. Desirable · Experience within Life Sciences and GxP-regulated environments. · Experience leading Basis and Security team members. · SAP certifications. Educational Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. · SAP Certifications preferred.
