Proven science writing experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to communicate complex scientific and medical topics. Demonstrated experience translating medical and scientific information into clear, engaging content for lay audiences. Strong technical writing skills, including the ability to structure content logically, maintain accuracy, and adapt tone for different audiences. Experience in marketing management or supporting marketing initiatives through written content. Comfort and experience interfacing directly with researchers, clinicians, and other subject matter experts. Ability to work nimbly and independently, producing high-quality content with minimal need for edits. Bachelor’s degree required. Experience or familiarity with medical writing, biomedical topics, and clinical research environments. Editing skills, including reviewing and refining content for clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand standards. Experience with document control or working within structured review and approval processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in biomedical or clinical research communication is highly beneficial. Experience writing for multiple channels such as media releases, email campaigns, websites, and social media. Ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences, from scientific peers to patient families and the general public. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional marketing and communications teams. Attention to detail in maintaining brand voice, terminology, and style across all written materials. Work Environment The Science Writer works within a collaborative marketing and communications environment that is closely connected to research and science communication functions. The role involves regular interaction with researchers, clinicians, and cross-functional teams in marketing, earned media, and social media.
