Scratch & Python coding (US Shift)

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Scratch & Python Coding Instructor working in the US shift. The instructor will deliver live online coding classes in Scratch and Python for students aged 5–18, using structured lesson plans and interactive activities. Day-to-day tasks include preparing age-appropriate learning materials, conducting virtual sessions, demonstrating coding concepts, and guiding learners through projects and exercises. The role involves monitoring student progress, providing feedback, addressing questions, and adapting teaching approaches to different learning styles. The instructor will also collaborate with the academic team to refine curriculum, maintain high teaching standards, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications

• Coding and technical skills: Proficiency in Scratch and Python, with the ability to explain core programming concepts in simple, age-appropriate terms.
• Teaching and facilitation skills: Experience teaching children or teens online or in-person, strong classroom management in virtual settings, and skill in engaging diverse learners.
• Curriculum and instructional design: Ability to develop and adapt lesson plans, create project-based activities, and align content with learning objectives for different age groups.
• Communication and interpersonal skills: Clear spoken and written English, patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with learners and guardians.
• Technical readiness: Comfortable using online teaching platforms, digital collaboration tools, and troubleshooting common audio/video or connectivity issues.
• Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, STEM, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in teaching coding.
• Additional qualifications: Availability to work US shift hours, reliable internet connection and equipment for remote teaching, prior experience with K–12 education or after-school programs, and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory teaching practices.
