Read more: careers.bms.com/working-with-us . Your code doesn't just run. It helps get life-changing medicines to patients. At Bristol Myers Squibb , we believe that behind every clean dataset, every validated submission package, every regulatory approval - there's a person who made it possible. That person could be you. We're looking for a Senior SDTM Statistical Programmer to join our team - someone who's ready to stop just delivering work and start genuinely leading it. So, what does this actually mean for you? You'll own something that matters - This isn't a role where you're handed a ticket and told to close it. You'll be the technical lead on assigned studies - shaping SDTM strategies from protocol review all the way through to global regulatory submission. You'll see the full picture and your fingerprints will be on deliverables that directly support medicines reaching patients around the world. You'll solve real, complex problems - not just tick boxes - Root cause analysis, cross-functional stakeholder collaboration, data integration from CRF and non-CRF sources - this role puts you at the intersection of science , data , and process . You'll build the kind of deep, end-to-end understanding that makes you genuinely invaluable, not just technically but strategically. You'll be at the frontier of where the industry is going - SDTM automation. Metadata-driven processes. Agentic AI workflows. These aren't buzzwords here - they're part of how we're transforming clinical data operations. You'll be actively engaged with emerging technologies , keeping your skills sharp and future-proof in a field that's evolving fast. You'll lead people, not just processes - You'll provide guidance and quality oversight to team members and manage CRO and vendor programming activities. Whether it's mentoring a junior programmer or partnering with a cross-functional study team, you'll develop the kind of leadership presence that accelerates careers - yours included. You'll contribute to global regulatory success - Every eCRT submission package you build, every Pinnacle 21 validation report you interpret, every SDTM specification you design — it all feeds into global regulatory filings and approvals . Few roles let you see your technical work translate so directly into real-world impact. What you'll bring to the table 4+ years of pharmaceutical or CRO experience as a SAS Programmer supporting clinical trials and regulatory submissions Deep expertise in CDISC/SDTM standards and a thorough understanding of the clinical development lifecycle Exceptional SAS programming skills (Base, Stat, Graph) and comfort working across complex, multi-source data environments Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing timelines, and driving quality outcomes A degree in a relevant scientific discipline (BA/BS or above) The agility to adapt quickly, prioritise effectively, and lead through ambiguity — because clinical development rarely stands still Why BMS? Because here, your work is more than a deliverable. It's part of a mission to transform patients' lives through science . You'll work alongside some of the most talented minds in the industry, supported by a culture that values innovation, collaboration, and the courage to take on the hardest problems in medicine. You'll grow your technical expertise, build your leadership profile, and know — with certainty — that what you do every day genuinely matters. Ready to lead from the data up? Apply now and bring your SDTM expertise to work that changes lives #LI-Hybrid If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn’t perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway. You could be one step away from work that will transform your life and career.
