Search Engine Marketing Manager

We’re now looking for an SEM Manager who will own and scale paid search across all Rohlik Group brands — Rohlik.cz , Kifli.hu , Gurkerl.at , Knuspr.de , Sezamo.ro and future markets. This is a high-impact role with group scope, multi-million-euro budgets, and real influence on acquisition, revenue and profitability. You’ll manage multi-million-euro budgets with real impact on growth and profitability. We are an AI-first company — you’ll help build and use automation and AI tools to scale performance. You’ll work across Brand, CRM, Product and local markets to shape full-funnel impact. This is a role with both hands-on ownership and the opportunity to mentor and grow others. What you’ll do You’ll be responsible for the full SEM agenda across the Group — from strategy and budget ownership to optimisation, tooling and team support. You will: Own the group-wide SEM strategy and budgets across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Performance Max, Shopping, Search and emerging retail media channels Analyse performance end-to-end — from impressions to margin — and turn data into clear actions, insights and forecasts Help develop, deploy and improve automation and AI solutions (scripts, GPT-powered copy generation, ML-based bidding models, etc.) Audit and optimise accounts continuously: keyword research, feed quality, negative keyword governance, Quality Score, campaign structure and testing frameworks Own and evolve the SEM tech stack, including evaluation and integration of tools like SA360, feed management, attribution, server-side tagging and consent-mode solutions Work closely with Brand, CRM, Product and local teams to align messaging and maximise business impact Support and mentor junior SEM specialists, helping build playbooks, training and best practices Stay on top of market changes — AI, privacy, SERP shifts, platform updates — and turn them into meaningful experiments What we’re looking for 3–5 years of hands-on SEM experience, ideally in large e-commerce or marketplace environments Proven ownership of six-figure monthly budgets and solid results on CAC, ROAS and profitability Deep knowledge of Google Ads (including P-Max & Shopping) and Microsoft Ads Experience with SA360 or similar bid-management platforms is a strong advantage Strong analytical mindset — advanced Excel / Google Sheets, basic SQL, and dashboarding experience (Looker Studio or similar) Familiarity with modern AI / ML solutions and practical understanding of how to use them in performance marketing Leadership mindset — prior mentoring or team support experience is a plus Advanced English is required; other languages such as Czech, German or Hungarian are a plus What’s in it for you Fair reward - You’ll get a strong fixed salary — no bonus games, no politics.
