Search Engineer at BairesDev

As a Search Engineer, you will design and optimize high-performance search systems to ensure users find precise information within milliseconds. You will serve as the technical link between raw data and intuitive discovery, balancing search accuracy with system speed and scalability.

What You'll Do

• Architect and maintain distributed search clusters to handle large-scale data sets and high query volumes.
• Develop advanced indexing strategies and data pipelines to ensure content is searchable and fresh.
• Fine-tune relevance scoring and ranking algorithms to deliver the most helpful results to the end user.
• Optimize complex search queries and DSL configurations to maintain ultra-low latency.
• Implement modern search features like hybrid search, auto-complete, and semantic retrieval to enhance user experience.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on search systems and information retrieval.
• Proven expertise in building and managing production-grade search clusters using Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or Solr.
• Deep understanding of Lucene internals, indexing strategies, and query DSL.
• Hands-on experience with relevance tuning, scoring models like BM25, and query optimization.
• Proficiency in implementing hybrid search features and distributed search architectures.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
