Make Poverty History Manitoba requires a meeting Secretary to help us stay organized in order to advocate for better public policy to end poverty in Manitoba.
The Main Tasks Are
- Assisting the Chair in organizing regular meetings
- Taking minutes and circulating information to committee members
- Supporting the organization's legal compliance with the rules for non-profit organizations
Skills Required
- We require the skills of a detail-oriented person who is a good communicator, can take minutes, and do follow up.
- It is helpful if the person has a collaborative approach to working with others and is a self-starter as well.
- A dedication to social justice and human rights is important as well.

Remote Volunteering
Our meetings are generally over the lunch hour online and in person (hybrid), for 1 - 2 hours per month. Plus there would be 2 hours/ month on emails and related tasks.
