Security Architect - Consultant

Job Description

This contract role supports security engineering initiatives focused on cybersecurity automation, custom security tool development, identity and access management, Linux-based systems, and enterprise security platforms. Responsibilities include planning, designing, developing, deploying, administering, and supporting security automations, scripts, integrations, utilities, dashboards, command-line tools, and operational workflows using Python and related technologies. The position also supports security workflow automation, system integration, troubleshooting across applications, platforms, operating systems, networks, identity services, and enterprise environments, while contributing to Linux system administration, lifecycle management, and operational support for security technologies. This is a fully remote position with participation in an on-call rotation and occasional after-hours support in a fast-paced environment with evolving operational priorities.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/SWE/InfoSec or related field OR equivalent relevant experience
• Python security automation development
• Troubleshooting complex cross-platform technical issues
• Security workflow automation with Python/PowerShell/Bash/APIs
• Enterprise security technology support experience
• Relevant work experience (8+ years)
• Security engineering experience across cybersecurity technologies
• Linux system administration and lifecycle management
• Enterprise security architecture knowledge
• Large IT and security environment support experience (5+ years)

Preferred Skills

• Enterprise security tools familiarity and documentation
• Relevant cybersecurity certification
• Support for SOC/security/incident response stakeholders

• Security engineering generalist in large shared-services environment
