Senior Accountant – Full-Time Location: Remote with some hours on-site Starting Pay: $60,000 for candidates meeting the minimum qualifications, including three years of relevant experience (Higher starting compensation may be considered based on education, certifications, and directly related experience.) We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to serve as a key member of the Finance Department and assist the Chief Financial Officer in maintaining the financial integrity of OneEighty and Community Crossroads. This position is responsible for general ledger management, financial reporting, grant financial administration, account reconciliations, month-end and year-end processes, audit preparation, budget support, and other accounting functions essential to organizational operations. What You’ll Do Prepare and post journal entries. Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting schedules. Maintain chart of accounts. Prepare and post weekly deposits, including EFTs. Reconcile bank accounts and petty cash monthly. Lead month-end closing activities and preparation of monthly financial statements. Post revenue and accounts receivable entries. Prepare and distribute invoices. Prepare accounts receivable and revenue schedules. Oversee grant management activities. Assist with grant budgets, applications, and reporting requirements. Prepare grant and contract schedules for audit purposes. Coordinate annual audit preparation, leading internal auditing activities. Coordinate annual review of fiscal policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational requirements. Assist the CFO with annual budget development. Provide financial analysis and reporting as requested. Attend Finance Committee meetings and prepare financial information as requested. Attend Community Crossroads Board meetings and provide reports. Record meeting minutes as designated. Maintain data within finance systems and databases. Develop knowledge of Senior Financial Administrator and Grants Administrator functions for operational continuity. What You’ll Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required. Three years of accounting experience required. Experience with nonprofit accounting is preferred. Experience managing grants and government funding preferred. Must have a valid Ohio Driver License and maintain a driving record that allows the individual to be insurable with the insurance providing OneEighty's vehicle insurance. Local travel may be required. May not currently receive clinical services at OneEighty. If in recovery must have two years of continuous sobriety. Above average computer skills including being proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), collaboration platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and RingCentral). Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge, preferred. Understanding of accounting principles and ability to prepare and interpret financial reports. Excellent verbal and listening skills. Strong organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines and prioritize. Ability to work well with minimal supervision.
